I need something to do

I have a little squad of characters...... all levelled, all undaunted, all done trials .... I have done most of the dlc's (loved Orsinium, hated Brotherhood and Thieves whatsit. I even have 2 9-trait crafters.... (I gave up on collecting all the styles.... too many dropped sets now anyway). I even did enough pvp to have one Lt, 2 sergeants and the rest ..... just not good soldiers. In fact I just not good at pvp. Oh and I went to IC.... not sure why, but I went.
I have a million gold in the bank..... even after buying stuff I regretted because it just was not great. (gold tempers mainly :( )
I even have a load of monster helms and shoulders.
I DON'T see the point in a house..... all that gold for what? No storage and believe me I can test my dps on a lotta stuff. (magplars ftw!) I played sims and built great houses with lovely gardens and pools etc.... don't see the point here.
So......... now what? I need a new area to explore and new quests and monsters......
Shock! Horror!
Maybe, just maybe........ I need a new game?
Noooooooooo!
Gulrosa V160 Templar -healer and master crafter
Annie Spaceshifter V160 magica NB - just a thieving assassin, now retired
Katerina - 'Daedric Annie' - V160 Stamina DK - now bank alt, wardrobe mistress
Anni Bee - Vet 160Templar - pvp magica templar - Daedric Lord Slayer
Lily Malone - stam sorc - pve goddess
Rey of Jakku Plain - Vet 160 - magica templar dd
Savanna - magica warden, still learning to play
and several babies...... learning to ride

But why buy a new game when you can experience the sunk cost fallacy in a game you already have and have already spent so much time and money on?

... do you have a moment to talk about our lord and savior RNG Crates?

Ha! I doing that now, but on the NA server.... starting right from scratch, no cp, no crafting, no guild as yet... and its much more difficult than just rolling a new char on my EU account - there her sisters would make her new armour and feed her etc. No sisters on the NA server. Little Annie Lass on the NA server has to do it all alone........

I feel the same! Although I have not done many trials. I've done all the vet dungeons, tons of monster sets. Did a bunch of stuff to get titles & achievements.. but got bored of that. I have zero interest in housing.. I can definitely see the attraction but it is not for me. I have 12 characters (3 of each class), 10 are LVL50. I still enjoy PVP even though I am not that good at it :P

I know I could grind more & perfect all the traits on my drop sets... but... urrgh.. it's tedious & the randomness can be harsh.

This is completely false. Please don't spread misinformation if you don't know what you're talking about.

And yes, to the opening poster, why don't you take a break, play another game, read a book, do something else. Variety is the Spice of Life, as they say. Often taking time away from something makes you appreciate it a lot more for just what it is.

Woah, the thought of that grind actually gives me a headache, that is some serious love for the game.

I have to admit, I am an avid and heavy RPer, so everything from costumes to collectables is something I care for, so grinding those achievements I am familiar with. After a session of PVE or PVP, I have the benefit of jumping 'ic' (in character) on any of my four different characters and enjoying some roleplay in Wayrest.

However, I still manage to run vet trials on a weekend and my daily vet pledges most days {depending on mood), but I think, personally, it's about balance. Perhaps pick up some single titles and play them between ESO? I love taking my time to do things and breaking it up with a bit of Life is Strange, Witcher or even Skyrim (classic, but gold), can help!

Sounds like you should take a break. If housing isn't your cup of tea, you're not going to get much to keep you going until next quarter, at the earliest.

Imma just copy-paste something I wrote to another bored oldbie a little while ago, instead of retyping it. ;)
It's fair for you to feel that way. You have consumed the content they have, and now you want more. This is fair for a game you enjoy.

But you shouldn't expect to get a constant stream of new content or zones. No one has the developing time or budget for that. One dungeon's worth of content that takes a player an hour to knock out needs dozens of development hours of layout, art and story design, voice acting, testing, and programming. The fact is that the devs just can't create new stuff at the same rate their players consume it. So, at some point, any highly dedicated player is going to bottom out.

So... go play something else for a little while. When I feel burned out on something, I go do something else for a while... either boot up a different game, or pick up a book I've been meaning to read, or write in my own fictional universe. Such breaks are refreshing, and give the game time to build up new content. I did that to ESO about two years ago, and when I came back, I had TG and DB to start chewing through.

So maybe accept that you've done pretty much all you want to do in the game, and go try a different game for a while. This one will still be here when you come back.
I am Queen of Typos. If you don't see "Edited by BlackSparrow" above this line, please assume my account has been taken over by scamps and react accordingly.

    My Girls:
    "Elsweyr, yay or nay?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "If circumstances try to drive me there, maybe. Right now, it just sounds like a lot of sand in my boots."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "The simple thought of it dries my scales. I ventured into Elsweyr long ago, but I may be getting too old to make the journey again."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "This one looks forward to seeing her home sands again. Perhaps she will make her home village many fish sticks!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "I could do much with a good dragon hide."
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "I see little need to muck about some ancient tomb. Too much work to do elsewhere. No, that was not an intentional pun."
Lorelai Magpie, breton thief: "Stealing from the Ban Daar is always a fun challenge. Sometimes, they steal their stuff back!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "While I try to stay at Swum-Many-Waters' side, the whispers of an undead threat worry me."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "Perhaps. The lady Mephala spins many webs, and I can see there being benefit in sending me into the path of an undead invasion."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hear there will be dragons. I would be a disappointment to my Nord heritage if I did not try to slay them."
Madam Argentia, dunmer aristocrat: "I have little desire to waltz across the desert for weeks at a time. It's terrible for the complexion."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'm kinda busy up in Wrothgar, sorry!"
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "The Khajiit usually throw some nice contracts my way. I'm sure Jimila will have something that will take me there."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one is happy to check back on her homeland after grand adventures drew her away! Let the kittens call her -dra instead of -daro now!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "My lady Meridia does detest the undead. I may need to sneak out on my duties on Artaeum to address it."

Take a break. Play different games if you're a gamer. Pursue other hobbies you enjoy.

Props for holding attention for that long. I get sick of leveling just one character. The thought of 8 makes me want to break the disc.

Don't think ESO will add on more good quests for playing for months.
Best to try other games, skyrim remastered? Stardew valley? Dark souls 3? Witcher 3 goty edi.
Or wait till Feb, lots of great games coming out, like for honour, nioh, horizon zero dawn.
Looking forward to dump buggy, full of crash and errors and unbalanced ESO.

I think the problem is they have made the game so easy people go through content faster than a normal MMO. I know Vet trails and MA are a challenge but the rest of the game is pathetic. Nothing has any staying power to keep you going...you beat all on the first try....

I've been in the exact same position since I finished DB's content. I've taken breaks (sometimes weeks, sometimes months) because there's just nothing new to do.

2 dungeons and farming gear does not count as new content.

I'll probably buy a house, but like OP I've gotten all my housing decorating ideas out in the Sims. And honestly, the Sims is FAR more advanced in what you can do with a house. No limits on items.

I'm hoping the Morrowind anniversary will coincide with a proper DLC/New Zone release in ESO to give us something new to do that is a proper new zone with new content/quests/etc.

I thought about starting over on the EU server, but the thought of doing it without all the items I've purchased on NA completely puts me off.
