Hello all,
I have a question, I’ve been a stamina Templar for the longest time, However I’ve finally given up my grip for stamina and now going Magicka..
I have plenty of experience as a Templar(been on eso since beta/launch), I need some advice between two builds I personally think would be BiS.
Set 1:
- 5x Burning Spellweave (5 Body pieces)
- 3x Infallible Aether (3 Jewelry pieces)
- 2x Grothdar
- 2x Sharpened WP swords | (Offbar) Random staff / vMA Staff / Infall Staff
OR
Set 2:
- 5x Julianos(5 body pieces)
- 4x Infallible Aether(2 jewelry pieces, 2 body pieces)
- 3x Willpower(2 Sharpened swords, 1 jewelry) | (Offbar) WP Staff
The follow sums are purely raw from GOLD set pieces, and DO NOT equate for any passives/CPs
——————–
Set 1 total Spell Damage = 600 (BSW proc) + 129(3pc BSW) + 522(3 jewelry glyphs) = 1,251 Spell Damage
Set 2 total Spell Damage = 299(Julianos 5pc) + 193(WP) + 129(4pc infall) + 522(3 jewelry glyphs)= 1,143 Spell Damage
——————–
Set 1 Total Magicka = 967(BSW) + 967(Grothdarr) + 1451 (Willpower) = 3,385 Magicka
Set 2 Total Magicka = 967(Julianos) + 1451 (Willpower) = 2,418 Magicka
——————–
Set 1 Total Crit = 688(4set BSW) + 688(2set Infall) = 1,376 Crit = 6.28% Increase
Set 2 Total Crit = 688(2set Julianos) + 688(4set Julianos) + 688(2 set Infall) = 2,064 Crit = 9.42% Increase
From my view its either a pure proc set vs a pure raw stat set.
With a Spell damage difference of 108 more Spell damage, and a difference of 967 more magicka, Set 1 seems to pull ahead in stats, But We also have Burning Spellweave to be proc’d to gain 600 Spell damage and we also have Grothdarr to be proc’d which pulls 2k FLAME damage to each enemy for 5 seconds which can proc burning spellweave.
Then we have Set 2 which has a difference of 3.14% more crit, but does have less Spell damage and less Magicka. and is without a monster set. HOWEVER, This set is without any proc sets and has a solid 1,143 Spell damage at all times. Set 1 has 651 Spell damage without BSW proc’d…
My question to the community is which set would be better for a magicka templar DPS, Mainly in trials?… Is Set 1 worth it over set 2? OR does someone have any other opinion on a different build?
Thanks.
