No sound.

So, I was playing last night, and I had a weird problem with having no sound. The music track functioned ok, and it seems like the ambient sound was also functional. But combat sound and dialogue was just... missing! I tried restarting client and PC but to no avail.

Is there anything I can do on my end to remedy this?

Hmm, I might be thinking of SWTOR, but I was pretty sure that there's a toggle for in game sound in eso too. If you're still having issues then try pressing the "control" and "s" keys at the same time.

Just to be clear, there is "some" sound. I can hear the echo of certain skills I use, some footsteps and I'm quite certain all the ambiance. Definitely all of the music. There is however no combat sound and no dialogue. The things NPCs say to me in the "open world" (not in first person dialogue-mode) I can also hear.

    UPDATE: problem resolved.

I would rather not go into too much detail as it's rather embarrassing, suffice it to say that the problem was entirely on my end and in no way game related.

You may have already done this, but check under settings>audio combat and effects volume slider

Yes, I did this. Everything looks normal. But thanks anyway! :-)

Beware the battle cattle, but don't *fear* the battle cattle!
