Crown store assistants.

So I recently bought the two assistants from the crown store the banker and the merchant. To my dismay I found that the merchant does not have repair !! one of the main reasons I bought her is because I like to do dungeons and I thought the selling and repair would come in handy and reduce any downtime if someone needs to sell and repair. Also the banker does not have guild store. These assistants are 5000 crowns each so their not cheap. Are these things going to be added to them at some point ? I saved up my crowns from my sub to get these I suppose I should have done some research first but I thought the merchant would at least have repair.

A quick google would've answered it for you.

But yeah, I personally have the banker which I use all the time as I rarely need Guild Bank/Store. A quick trip to Rawl solves my Guild needs.

As for the merchant, I'm holding off until/unless they give her a repair option.

No, they will not be added. They were intended to not have access to guild banks, guild stores or repairs. If they did, no one would go back to cities to do that.

Well, if rich people are still buying those then I Guess no more functions will be added :/
The three assistants are quite useless atm and the only one that is a bit more useful is the banker one (at least for a non subscriber, the fully upgraded bank can store all the materials)

I still can't believe that smuggler take 35% cut when the haggling skill doesn't even raise 10%

I have both and honestly even if she did have a repair option I wouldn't use it.

A full repair of my gear at a vendor is ~2,500g or something whereas a full repair using repair kits costs 1,000g and my addon does it automatically, so it's cheaper and easier to just use repair kits.

As far as I can tell, probably not. No repair, and no guild store access = no sale for me.

There has been many, many posts on this.

By stating s/he should have googled it, you're endorsing ZoS' very poor sales techniques.

Shouldn't need a google search. The onus should be entirely on ZoS to give their customers a clear and concise description. They're not the only CS items that suffer from very poor pre purchase descriptions. Hell, even some of the very, very expensive CC items have ambiguous descriptions. The antronach transformation being the obvious one. So many people were confused and surprised by the limited timer on it.

Call me cynical, but I suspect some details are purposely omitted for the very reason the OP made the purchase.

I never said they should have googled it, I said if they had it would've given them a heads up.

I disagree with the crown store descriptions on many things, specifically of late the New Life hats that ended up being undyeable. There's definitely room for improvement, but as you mentioned, it's a very poor sales technique that sadly works.

Then change your original post so you're insinuating s/he should have, God damn it. Then there won't be an issue. :p

Overpriced for the functionality - In other games I've played, one could craft or buy with game currency items / skills that would allow a player to repair (and vendor) out in the world, many with abilities to provide access to banks / guild banks.

Having the only mobile vendor a high priced cash store item only AND functionally unable to repair at all is just greedy.

ZOS seems to be relying on the player knowing that "personal banking services" does not include the Guild Banks, despite never seeing that description anywhere else that I can recall.

    And here is the merchant:
This alert merchant is on hand whenever she's needed, and will buy anything you or your group offer her.

I guess maybe that is better? It only mentions buying, not repairing?

If they were going for brevity, that could easily be:
This alert merchant is on hand whenever she's needed; she'll buy anything, but can't repair your gear in the field.

The same thing with the banker:
This aristocratic banker is on hand whenever he's needed, available for all personal banking services

    This could easily be:
This banker is on hand whenever he's needed; he can access your personal bank, but can't reach your Guild Bank contacts in the field.

OK, so they are not the best, but you get the idea. It would be pretty easy to describe these things with the same number of words, or just a couple more, and still make it clear to the player what they are getting.

It would not even clutter up a screen too much to give a bulleted list of the exact services.

I really can't find a way to convince myself that this isn't a deliberate way to fleece lots of crowns out of players. Which is pretty scummy if you ask me. Even if it was unintentional at the start, the fact that the actual store descriptions have not been updated is also pretty telling. I mean, you see threads, you know it is an issue, and you leave it the same?

The deliberate merchant deliberately refuses to repair your items

    Yes they should.

So if the OP is seriously unhappy about this then they should immediately submit a written request for a refund. Unfortunately they'll probably have to start by lodging a CS ticket. Though from my own recent experience it's either staffed by sadistic *** or inept AI. Don't tolerate any silliness from them. If they screw you around, lodge a complaint with BBB. They have no legal authority but can sometimes help to resolve complaints like this.
No, they will not be added. They were intended to not have access to guild banks, guild stores or repairs. If they did, no one would go back to cities to do that.

    That would be awesome.

Every time I visit a popular city like Rawl'kha it takes sometimes over a minute for NPCs to finish loading. I'd love to say goodbye to that.

And I wouldn't have to see any of those dueling attention ***.

Open ticket and ask for refund and state the specific reasons in your OP regarding repair and guild bank.

Not sure if they will refund it but there's been no suggestions that those functions will be added.

And I hope, since you are aware of this thread, you will consider the suggestions above, about adding these "bonus" functions to these assistants. That would be great. Thanks for lurking here :)
