The whole argument against letting people hide vampirism is ridiculous

In reading another thread here I feel the whole argument that's being thrown around is that its one of the downsides of looking like a vampire and to deal with it, use a skin etc... stop telling us to deal with it, if you want to look like a vampire its fine but don't force it on us and tell us how to play the game just because you think vampires should look like it. you can hide vampirism with wearing covered motifs and you can use disguises and with skins that i earned which are equally hidious so why cant i earn a skin to look normal? plus addons tell you if a person is a vampire anyway on pc. quest in friggin rivenspire and you can see varandis ravenwatch hiding his vampirism perfectly fine so don't give me this "its a different strain so its lore" as if a npc can hide it why cant we? I am a master vampire so why havnt I learned the ability to hide it by now? I would spend one of my 327 skillpoints if I could to hide my vampirism or love to unlock it as a skin from being a master vampire. At this point I would even buy it from the crown store...

tldr its cute that you all think vampires shouldn't be able to hide their vampirism but I gave you a lore reason along with equally restrictive and hideous bypasses for hiding it. if you want vampires to look like that just stay looking like a vampire? a smart vampire would blend in to the crowds in the city anyway. cosmetic changes will not increase my dps or give me an advantage over other players...

    It's a different bloodline, so lore. :p

Amusingly, if we go by Daggerfall's bloodlines, Varandis shouldn't be able to hide his nature either.

But, yeah. Personally, I think it'd be cool if we got all four stages as skins, and a normal human skin, as we went up through the skill line. Maybe 1 and 2 when first infected, then 3, 4, and mortal when we hit master.

At this point people are arguing for the sake of arguing online. I heard some people say '' Meridia hates undead she wont work with a vampire'' while in the same storyline Sir Cadwell admits to be working for Meridia.
That being said I dont see Zos making such thing available in short time otherwise people wouldnt buy new costumes or DLCS for the skins.
If you want me to reply to your comment type @Ankael07 in it.

...but whoever says its a bloodline thing? Count Ravenwatch IS a mage after all, so it might be a spell, or some enchanted item, right? ;)

The point here is - we have seen a NPC do it, so there should be a way for players to do it as well.
Doesn't matter if it was a toggleable skill (which would have the drawback of taking up a skill slot), or an enchanted ring (which would have the drawback of taking up a jewelry slot) or a disguise (which would have the drawback of preventing stealth and poofing at taking damage).
And the effect may be to lower the appearance one level - meaning you can look mortal at stage one, but if you let yourself go to stage two, the disguise fails, one way or another...

And of course if we do get the option... then player vamps also should get some incentive to use it, aka... city guards attacking the "bloodsucking fiends" on sight if they realize their undead-ish state.

And while we're at it... also dig into the vampire clichees and add more to ESO. An additional debuff during sublight, balanced by a buff at nighttime. Halved swimming speed to show why vamps dislike "running water". No food buffs, but added drink recipes for vamps, to make more drinks with stat buff and feeding effects. Voluntary feedings from blood donor NPCs and possibly even willing player characters. And perhaps even a vampire sanctuary, with crafting stations, and vampire-only vendors who sell stuff for vamps. (Personally I would even dish out a drawback when breaking and entering, due to "enter without permission" thing, but I guess that may be a little too much...)

They could do a whole DLC worth of material on vampires and players would buy it up . Same with werewolves . Players love the monster classes , they are everywhere in game .

deal with it, you want the skill line? take the ugly that goes with it.

The ugly part is what vampires always conceal in almost every generation, they mask themselves to blend in. As people have mentioned if they just left the yellow eyes and take away the pale bloated skin it would come to a middle conclusion imo.

Also you can literally just wear a helmet now and you wouldn't even know if someone is a vampire or not, which is the main Pvp excuse just doesn't cut it tbh.

Seriously? You're upset because you want to be vampire but not look like a vampire...
Next you'll be pissed because you want to be an orc but look like an imperial lol.

No next thing I want is that all the races in game to become Yordle's instead

You know, I've argued against hiding Vampirism more than once because I'm always trying to support keeping things logical and lore friendly, but now I just don't care anymore. Go ahead and give them the option, doesn't affect me whatsoever.

Did not know this was an issue. I was looking to vamp my Dunmer. So is there links to pics to show exactly what is wrong? Or at least can you tell me. Is the skin to pale? Eyes sunken in? What?

While i prefer to just get rid of the look all to getter i would be fine with the look of current stage 1 to be stage IV and just the red eyes at stage 1 or something.

You know just to keep it simple to adjust haha.
Stage IV looks so bad that it's just unplayable for me :(

Only when fully fed though. If you were a stage 4 vampire in skyrim / oblivion and Morrowind even you were always a fully fledged vampire. Oblivion even people attacked you on sight.

Does it bother me if Zos made this change? No, it is cosmetic so "meh"

Does it bother me if time spent on this change took away from doing something worthwhile? Yes
