That's pretty much it really, has anyone managed to get a Stam NB through vet Maelstrom? Happy to respec, just literally have no idea where to start. I've got next to zero health sustain.

Running Hundings, Nightmother, Agility, Velidreth and Kena. Bow and dual wield.

Yes. Me. Along with many others.

Ok so, with you being new I'd be running Nightmothers, Agility and Veli.

    Drop Kena and Drop Hundings.

Reasons: You won't ALWAYS remember to apply major fracture so running NMG will help that situation.
Kena: Trash 2 piece Veli or 2 piece Khrags no acceptions.

Surprise attack, Blood Craze, Killers Blade, Caltrops, Vigor
Poison Injection, endless hail, the 8% damage, Mark, Siph attacks

It's what I've used and it gets me by, hands down.

Stam Night blade is unforgivable 1 mistake and you deserve to die.

I leadboard weekly, on most classes now days and this is by far the hardest to clear on.

If you want a helping hand, I have a vMA bible guide which I highlighted on my twitch page after the (main video was removed) 3 months old.

It's helped so many people get vMA clears not just on Stam Sorc but on other classes also, the fundamentals are the same as I explain all rounds, what to watch out for and how to manage it.

    Cheers Lukums, super helpful.
Definitely posted this in a moment of despair, so hearing it's possible is a relief, even if it's tricky. Just wasn't ready to go magicka NB just to get it done. Almost every guide I find involves using Maelstrom weapons - which is a catch 22 when it's the first character I'm trying to pull through vMSA.
Fully dropping Hundings for a Stam NB seems like sacrilege in ESO, but I'm honestly willing to give anything a go.

I would strongly STRONGLY suggest watching my videos. As well as my newly posted guide.

Your complete guide ( even if it's for stam sorc ) it will be SUPER useful for you.

Again targeted at MAG Sorc this time but it explains everything and what to watch out for as well as hidden tips and tricks MANY don't know.

So Maelstrom weapons are not good for running Maelstrom actually. Some older builds used them before proc sets like viper's sting was buffed (5 viper's 5 vicious ophidian and 2 velidreth are great sets to use). Vicious ophidian makes it so much easier to sustain I strongly suggest it, you can get it from craglon trials.

Definitely possible dude, i run it every couple days on my stam nb.

First clear was around 370cp (thanks @Lukums1 for that final boss advice  )

I was running 2 pieces of purple divines armor VO, 3 blue VO robust jewels, kraghs divines monster set, 3 Purple divines NMG armor, 2 gold nmg sharpened daggers and a gold nmg sharpened bow.

after 2-3 clears in that gear i upgraded to gold and got velidreth medium divines too.

Most important part is knowing the kill priority because we cant soak up heavy damage.

Still after one more sharpened vMA dagger though... the grind continues.

@Upright_man Cheers for the shout out.

Like Upright mentions it's about identifying the most dangerous things.

    1. Ranger (focus aim)
    2. Lizard on 7 (aoe circle spread) "Mini Boss"
    3. Upper cuts on round 5 knocking you into the ice + arrow spray (fun times)
    4. environmental effects

Believe it or not I find that the MOST issues come with the rounds NOT the bosses, the bosses are so manageable it's not funny this I firmly believe is true for MOST rounds in vMA.

Credit where credit is due bro.

Agree the Mini boss lizard on 7 you need to watch for that aoe but once you know the animation if you back off its not hard to dodge (speaking from melee perspective where ive been roasted alive in a second standing face to face with the boss because i didnt see it coming)

Lmfao the uppercut followed by ice blast+arrow doesn't happen often, but when it does my 17.6k hp certainly doesnt appreciate it.

Round 7 for me is always the weird one. I've tried your standing near the edge of the green pool style but with the archers in many of the rounds i find myself camped at their spawn portal eagerly waiting to destroy them and its fine 99% of the time.

But sometimes i get surrounded by overlapping mushrooms, make it to the green pool but it doesn't cleanse me in time (possible rural internet issue :joy: ).
Then the next time the mushrooms will spawn all around the edge of the arena and ill hardly see them while i breeze through the stage.

Yeah it's possible just a bit annoying, if you don't have access to maelstrom weapons I suggest farming for briarherart (or however you spell it) and use jewelry/weapons from that set with hundings and velidreth mask/shoulders. Weapon dmg enchants on jewelry. The skills I like using are DW: killers blade, blood carve, vigor, surprise attack, steel tornado.ulti: dawnbreaker (take morph of weapon damage) Bow: poison inject, siphoning strikes, rearming trap, endless hail, relentless focus ulti: veil (low key best ulti) and of course make sure to have weapons dmg/crit potions. You will die cause it's ESO and it likes to pork everyone but youll be able to finish it pretty quickly. Keep blood carve up on all enemies at all times, when at 20% health spam that vigor, and for boss fights veil's 30% damage reduction can truly make a huge difference! Best of luck!
