BUG game crashing on PTS as soon as I spend skill points

I have tried various of the template characters, but in every case the game crashes out as soon as I active any skill points. The crash occurs after I spend the point, and then enter any control screen - inventory, character, etc. Is anyone else experiencing similar?
I'm using the Mac client, various MacOS versions.
