Homestead - food for display purpose

ZOS, please allow consumable food items to be used for home-decorative food items. It just *does not make sense* that if I want to put an apple on a table in my home, I have to hunt for a recipe to craft an apple for display purpose! Or pay *50 crowns* to buy a single solitary display-only apple. I don't mind spending effort and resource, but only for something that *makes sense*. When people want to get an apple, they buy it from the market. They don't "craft" it. I would go INSANE if I had to craft every single tinsy winsy item for a large home that has hundreds of items, not to mention go through an arduous process to do each.

I know you need to make money, but there SO many other items for furnishing that you don't need to have us go through the same arduous process for EVERY SINGLE ONE. Can you just let us use some of the basic items from our inventory? There are only 24 food ingredients: apple, banana, fish, game, flour, garlic, etc. Can you at least let us grab these from our inventory and put them in our homes, straight and simple like that? A mere 24 items won't hurt you financially. I would say even 50 or 100 such items won't hurt you, since there are so many other furnishing items -- items that we ACTUALLY are willing to pay for with effort and cost.

You have to craft it because it's not a real apple. ;)

Suggestion: please make the difficulty for obtaining display-only food *somewhat equivalent* to the difficulty for obtaining the same kind of consumable food. Low-level consumable food and drinks are relatively easy items to get. Hence, SO SHOULD display-only low-level food and drinks. If I want a high-level provisioning item like Orzorga's Blood Price Pie for display, then I would tolerate a more difficult process.

If they want us to craft it, at least do it in a way that make sense. Foods should NOT come from style motifs, runes, and tempers! Foods should be grown and/or cooked. Recipes for provisioning make sense. But some of these furnishing recipes are all kinds of crazy.

But of course it would make the most sense to just let us use some of our inventory items for furnishing, especially low-level, small items like food, drink, jewelry, etc. And why do they have to be for display only anyway? Would it "break" the system if we could pick up and use these items the same way do everywhere else?

id like to place poisens on the table also, to um, well ... for the Guests to enjoy :)
best in slot: is the armor, weapon, clothing look, pet, or no pet, jewelry, race, class, skill choices, amount of DPS, and skin color best fit to you and the way you wish to play and makes you feel good and performs what YOU think it should be.

worst in slot: what you read in zone chat, and forum comment, and forum thread, and you tube video, and live streamer advice, and class rep advice, and guild chat advice, and whisper told you to wear, and use for skill, and dress like, and use for weapon and armor.

This poster mentioned a recipe for a display-only food item that needs nickels, kutas, and other items. Or you can buy it for 400 crowns (since this is a purple item). Low-level items like display-only apples cost 50 crowns each, but I haven't seen the recipe. I imagine it would also require style motifs and runes, maybe of less amount. And of course, you still have to find the recipe first. That is just too much work for too little return. And of course, you gotta have food in the home. If I can't do a simple thing like putting simple food items in my home, then I can't have a home. Then I'll just avoid Homestead altogether. I'm up to CP170, so I have shown that I'm willing to spend effort and cost to do things. But only non-stupid things.

I saw that post, and immediately assumed they were exaggerating. We need screenshots of the recipes to actually know what's what.

I just found this recipe for a display-only food item that needs 5 nickels, 2 decorative wax (furnishing ingredient?), 2 potatoes, and 20 flour. Higher-level recipes undoubtedly requires hard-to-farm ingredients, so maybe they do require high-level runes and tempers. All this is just an artificial means to raise the difficulty of crafting furnishing items (even the most common things) so we would spend major effort and cost on Homestead.

Good find. Interesting, that is a bit high for such a small item, especially when we can stack, you know, hundreds of them in a place. I can't help but feel that the cost should not be so high.
