What if Harvesting nodes gave you a chance to drop Tempers\Tannin\Resins

I personally think that harvesting nodes should give you a small chance to get these kind of materials. I did some testing, and with 200 Pieces of raw materials i usually get 1 or 2 legendary mats, to gather 200 raw mats it usually takes about an hour or two, Taking in account that gear aside from jewelry doesn't drop in legendary, the amount of gear there is in this game, the cost of those materials thanks to the low drop, and the fact that upgrading equipment from epic to legendary costs 8 legendary mats for each piece of equipment, it becomes almost impossible to upgrade gear without playing 24/7.
It also makes sense, why would you not find resin while cutting wood? why would you not find minerals while you are mining a vein?

    Interesting idea and would have been neat so see this setup from the start when the game first came out. It's doubtful that they will change this though as they are content with how we obtain them through refinement.

    That being said, they could put something like this in one of the CP Stats. Now that would be cool.

    This would promote heavier farming of nodes, instead of safely and unobstructively refining raw materials for the same end.

    It would be nice to get a random temper (with a small chance for legendary) with every node harvested.

    Although, it would definitely come with a lot more hate from players that you beat to the node.

    They should just bump up the % chance of getting green/blue/purple and gold tempers from refining now.

    Crafting stuff for housing will take a lot.

    I don't give a *** is someone complains to me if i took a node before he did, unless i wold have done something shady like stealing it while he or she was in combat. If someone comes to you and say *** you because you took the node before he did, he's an idiot.

    I also have another idea, they could make a mechanic that let's you fuse lower end crafting materials to receive a single piece of higher end material.

    As a crafter/farmer I would benefit greatly from this but I would say that the drop rate, if implemented, should be about 1 out of 1000.

    The price of the gold upgrade mats and their relative rarity are the only thing that keeps players having all gold gear on every alt. If you think power creep is bad now, it would get 5 times worse.

    As it stands right now I only have 1 toon in all gold, and I could probably get 1 more. Certainly not 8 though.

    Eh... the current sytem works well enough, the only thing that could be argued about is for one, the drop ratio for tempers during refining (and maybe what your hirelings bring), and for another... better temper rewards for crafting writs, and maybe some for daily missions as well...

    Or maybe... a better chance to get tempers from deconstructing stuff. I mean... you take what, eight tempers into making one gold piece, and get back... maaaybe one when you decon it? I can already hear the wailing when they get around to raise the gear cap, sometime...

    Though of course, I'd much rather have some way to raise gear levels. let people upgrade their favorite gear to new CP-levels, requiring resources just as hard to get as farming for a shiny new set, but let them have their keep set. Would make a nifty perk for master crafters... a "transmogrification" skill that allows style changes with one skill point, trait changes with two and level upgrades with three... requiring resources and such, with a destruction chance like temper improvements, migrated by using more resources... etc.

    Oh, well. Guess time will tell, who knows, they might review the crafting system for some changes and tweaks sometime...
    (Personally I still hope for mre involved crafting, with swords needing leather strips for the handle and such, but then, I like those details, and many just want to get their stuff done, so I am not gonna hold my breath...)

    As a part-time farmer, I would have loved it if harvesting a node gave even just 1/10th the xp that you got from killing a single zone trash mob. Some people would complain because "then the bots can level up!" but they're already doing that at the dolmens so it's a moot point.

    This would allow those who enjoy exploring and farming mats a way to level up as they play the way they want.

    And frankly, if someone thinks that finding/harvesting 10 nodes is faster than killing a single trash mob, I'd either like to know why such a crazy speed hack hasn't gotten you banned, or why your DPS is the absolute worst in the whole world, across all games.

    Refined 500 ore today. Got two grain solvents not a single temp alloy. It's a joke. Refined 200 clothing mats got 4 draux wax. Has the drop rate been nerfed for alloys? I know there's a heavy armour boom at the minute but non of this helps my tank.

    The system we have now is more rewarding than the logical alternative. which is:

    white to green: 8 common tempers
    green to blue: 4 uncommon tempers
    blue to purple: 3 rare tempers
    purple to gold: 2 ultra-rare tempers

    But that system would make player gold and RNG the primary factors in upgrading gear. At least with the one now, if you have all the passives unlocked you're only really limited by how much raw material you can find.

    I get on average 4 tempers per 1000 raw. As a seller of both tempers and refined material, I find that acceptable. But I also know the other trade secret, which isn't a what but when.
