What makes a guild leader successful?

I've stopped playing again regularly. Haven't really did trials or pledges since before Orcinium event.

To my surprise, my guild is continuing to generate profits. I pay 40k (out my pocket) each week for my trader in shadowfen, sometimes it gets outbidded but it's mostly up every week. Somehow those guys in my guild are managing to make 100k+ profits each week. Nearly over the 1 mil mark for my guild. Take note I don't grind for anything, I just get extremely lucky. So I just think it's worth mentioning here that guilds become their own thing and don't need a guild manager or anything like that to stay active/profitable.

I've been removed from all of my trader guilds besides the one I own. I don't manage my guild like others, once 500 people join If someone really wants in ill kick a random person who hasn't logged on for 3 months, or I'll just ignore it and wait for randoms to leave eventually from my lack of activity.

So pro tip for anyone starting the game. Create a guild, advertise as much as you can at first, if need be recruit random plebs walking around until you get your GB. Then you stack every single mat you get for like 2 years. Keep recruiting people, sell GuildBank mats/items. Once you get around 400+ members, the guild will literally take care of it's self even if you never play. All you have to do is gather up enough gold to buy a trader each week.

I'm just so fascinated by how people continue to sell and buy things in the guild, with literally no social interaction at all. Or maybe the occasional "I need a crafter pls" or "need 1 more for pledges". Really makes me feel like a big shot when my own guild can manage it's self.

I will restrain from my real response to this post.

I think the term "LEADER" is lost here. You are in your own words not leading anything. Don't strain yourself patting your own back for doing nothing...

These hardly even sound like guilds lol. People don't join trading guilds for the social interaction, which makes the leader of a trading guild, well... basically a glorified "kicker-of-inactive-players". I much prefer a guild that has little to no focus on trading, and instead has a fun atmosphere and positive attitude, as well as being generally active.

Come back when you find a guild that actually requires leadership
