This downtime has made it glaringly obvious that Steam hooking needs to have a fallback option in the event of downtime... I can't play ESO because of the Steam login token that is needed in order to log-in because my game is linked via Steam. This was only introduced a short while ago, but still needs an opt-out function for a limited time if Steam is down for extended periods of time like now.
It should be relatively simple to be able to input your login information even if Steam servers are down regardless of the login token that isn't needed if you have the game through ESO website. Some people have managed to fix it by just simply opening their launcher, but I can't seem to get it to work so now I'm stuck here playing Roller Coaster Tycoon...
