Anyone ever ecountered not being able to quick swap bars?

On my NB, even though I have I both my main weapon and back up weapons and skills slotted, I am unable to do a quick swap. I have to go into my inventory and unequip one weapon before it swaps over to the other weapons/bar. Doing the quick swap just unsheathe and sheathes the weapon I happen to be using. Tried logging in and out, no joy. The character is currently broken and I'm just wondering if others have encountered this and if it eventually sorts itself out.

If you are using any type of add on that affects skill bars, or possibly outfits you might want to disable them and see if it still doesn't work.

Hi, I should have really added that I'm on the PS4. All my other characters work as intended. I'm off the console at the moment, so I'll see later if coming fully out of the game rectified it.

When my bar-swap hotkey stop working, I am usually able to swap manually by clicking the swap icon when viewing the 'skills' menu. That typically frees up my hoykey.

If I were you I would also try unbinding and rebinding your swap hotkey, or binding each bar to a different key.

Finally, as mentioned above, try disabling all addons that impact skill loadouts or keybinds. If swapping works with those disable, reenable them one at a time until you find the culprit. Good luck.

I've had that happen a few times (PC.) Sometimes just like the door or container interact bug, roll-dodging will fix it. Sometimes zoning will do it. And sometimes re-logging is the only thing that will fix it.

It can be very annoying when it happens in the middle of a dungeon boss fight though.

Happens more frequently then you may think. Has to do with your character temporarily getting out of sync with the server's. Usually corrects itself in 5-10 seconds or I end up crashing and logging back in fixes it

I'm on PS4 as well and have had swapping issues, but I figure it's just me or the controller. I use the default settings and when I hit the left d pad button sometimes it doesn't work, and sometimes I go into first person.

I just put the console back on and logged into the character and it's working again. No idea what happened. Would have been a major pain had I actually being doing a dungeon or PvP.

have noticed on a few occasions a distinct gap between hitting the key and the swap happening.

Are you sure it isn't switching bars? I have a character that will sometimes do what you described. The bars were actually switching and I could use the skills I just wouldn't know what bar I was really on. Happens most the time in big fights when I have duel wield on one bar and staff on the other. When I switch to staff sometimes my swords sheath but the staff never shows. I can still use the abilities though. Other times there is just a quick animation and I am still holding my swords. Again I am still able to use the staff bar skills just I am holding my swords. Makes it really hard to do my rotation.

Has happened a few times when I am running destro/restro but mostly it is when I am duel wield and staff.

I've started more than a few tickets on the issue I am having and so far the only response I got back was a message telling me how to get a stuck character unstuck. Didn't help much.

Very sure. I was mid boss fight and trying to swap from my bow to daggers and it just kept sheathing my weapon. My bow bar was the one highlighted at all times as I couldn't use my execution skill as I was unable to swap. Looking around the net, it seems a number of people are having this issue recently.

I think I know what the issue is as I just had it happen moments after typing the above post. The controller templates are periodically changing, then reverting back. I checked earlier and I know for a fact I had it on template A, as it was the first thing i did when I logged back in. It has changed to Template C which means pressing and holding the circle button is now the weapon swap bar and the usual left facing D pad button is now Sheathe weapon only. It's obviously a bug. I hope this helps others.

Clean all electrons providing power to your PC. Dirty electons can cause dirty signals.

Replace your controller with a Logitech G29 steering wheel. You need quality controllers for this game.

Visit your eye doctor for your obvious vision problems. You are switching fine, you're just blind.

Your car is the problem. You drove the controller home in a rented Yugo, it destroyed your controller calibrations. Buy a better car.

This is about the quality of advice given on any game forum. It's always ANYTHING but the game causing the problem. Check your mods while on a PS4. Give me a break.
