Cyrodiil PVE Instance

Can we please have a Cyrodiil PVE Instance. I would like to go there on a tourist holiday and wander around doing the PVE content solo in the big lovely spacious map without being ganked or zerged. Thank you. The quiet uninhabited parts of Cyro feel the most like an Elder Scrolls / Fallout game to me.

they already have one, it is called Azura's Star. Lol (at least on PS4/NA it is empty most of the time)
also, Cyrodil is the PvP zone. If you do not want to PvP, stay out of Cyrodil. Every other zone in the game is made for what you are requesting. Just go to those zones?

Look, after all is said and done there really is not that much PvE to be done in Cyrodiil.
I usually finish all on a new character in 1 to 2 days max.
Would it really be worth the rack space without seriously adding more PvE content?
I for one would much rather see energy be put to expanding the existing PvE world as there are many more regions to go.

I mostly PvE and I still think a PvE Cryodiil is a bad idea. I play on TF when I PvP, and I can still do all of the fighter's bounty quests, scouting quests, and most of the town quests with little or no problems. I've cleared most of the dungeons with no problem also. Maybe once or twice a week I end up getting killed while doing the Cryodiil quests, and this is on TF(NA) PC, the most populated PvP campaign in ESO. Hell, there are times when I wish I could find someone to kill me so I don't have to spend 30 mins on the horse simulator riding back to turn in the quest.
To make a PvE version of Cryodiil, they would have to completely redo the map. I don't see that happening.

    Will never happen.

Not only this^^^^, but should never happen!!

Feels like at least 90% of the game is PVE. Surely Cyrodiil can be left for the PVP players. I mostly PVE, but still like this.

Learn how to play in Cyrodiil, instead of asking the game to change for you. Here are some tips to PVE in PVP land:
Keep your head on a swivel at all times. Use detection potions or spells. Use Invisible/Speed potions or stealth skills. Max Speed and Stamina training on mount skills.

So what do you do when the leafblower kicks up? You have options and choices. Stay, leave, go to another area, go to a different park, come back a different time. This is actually a pretty good analogy to Cyrodiil. The annoying and unexpected can happen in life and Cyrodiil. That's part of the thrill of PVP, and RL! I managed to do all the PVE content in Cyrodiil before I ever really engaged in PVP. Yes, I was ganked some, and didn't like it when it meant a run to the other side of the map to resume, but sometimes there are leafblowers when you least expect it. C'est la vie.

I did ask the cheydinal quests without seeing a single other player - despite the two closest keeps being continually fought over the whole time. Its fairly easy to avoid other players if you want - and personally i think it makes the game more of an adrenaline rush sneaking around enemy players.

Reminds of the time i found myself trying to get around a wamasu in shadowfen at level 8. Alas, no one will feel that apprehension since 1T...

That quiet uninhabited part is about 80% of the map. You can move around and do all the quests without ever seeing another player. There simply isn't a need for a different instance

Not really. The people who want to gank other players will find ways to do that. The areas that have pve quests are known. Pvp gankers know that. Guess where they'll be roaming....hint, not in the totally uninhabited areas. They will be around areas that pvers have to visit.

I would equally support a separate instance of the rest of the world for open pvp; let the pvpers who claim that open world pvp is so totally popular everyone would want to join in for the fun happy times have a separate instance to do that in. How popular or populated it will be evident instead of debated. And while I'm daydreaming, a separate area like Boethiah's Proving ground for duels to get the pvp totally out of the pve areas.

Actually if they are pvp gankers they will be in high traffic pvp areas ganking. Not loitering in Cheydinahal or some other out of the way quest area on the off chance that a player just might wonder through town. Pvp players want to pvp. Yes there are some people who like to kill easy targets but that is not the majority of pvp players. Learn to read your map and play the map.

And I would argue that once you queue into Cyrodiil you cease to be a pve player.

Yeah. I should really do a /feedback about moving the IC only crafting stations out of the pvp only area. Pvp players can craft gear without hassle in pve stations. Not so much for pve crafters attempting to get to the IC stations.

It could become a thing but not as the PvP Cyrodiil. ZOS could gradually make Cyrodiil regions accesible through PvE areas.

Kvatch is part of Cyrodiil and is present in DB DLC. Maybe in the future more areas to the east of it could exist and, for example, any delves or dolmens in the area become accesible.

I created a post about this as well.

Notice there's always a lot who seem to think doing something like this somehow detracts from PvP.

In essence all that's really going on is ZOS would remove the three campaigns that are owned by one faction and empty otherwise and convert those to PvE for each faction.

The people who don't go to the other PvP campaigns, still won't go.

Those who go to PvP still will go and those who want to be guests will flip and flop

It hurts no one but remendously helps the PvE side of things.
Overall it adds a huge benefit to content

I'd imagine these campaigns as this
-PvE groups going in to cap keeps and take Scrolls. The NPCs would be more populated and be stronger.

-you could have some type of campaign activity that activates Imperial City but it resets twice a day or three times a day.

-basically it's like adding a possible 300+ man trial zone. And because it's PvE it would make sense to spread out this not causing lag that PvP generates. Heck it may even lead to ways to eliminate lag in PvP altogether.

I really believe this is a win/win if done

It's not that hard to get everything in Cyrodiil, why are people so afraid of dying in a game?

No, I don't think they would. Anyone who went to a pve only instance of Cyrodiil would finally get a better idea of distances. Oblivion sure didn't show that; not when you could run from Bruma down to the marshes in less than 5 minutes. Players would finally have a real reason to use a mount.

Not afraid of dying. Just don't want to deal with some of the more um...how shall I put this to not get in trouble with the mods....enthusiastic bloodthirsty bordering on the psychopathic pvpers. If all that pvpers want to do is pvp, then why do some players follow pvers around to kill them over and over again when they don't fight back? I had to go to one of the IC crafting stations. I did have to kill a few daedra to get there. Someone from a different faction waited until I finished the daedra fight, unstealthed, and killed me. Which wasn't hard. When I saw it was a player, I sheathed my weapon. Second try to get to the crafting station; again, the same player attacked from stealth after I finished a fight with npcs, and killed me. Again, I sheathed my weapon. Third try; repeat of the same thing. Fourth try, they finally decided they were tired of killing me, or realized I had no telvar stones. They did attack, but didn't kill me and turned away and I made it into the crafting station. Please explain how exactly that was fun, because I really, really don't get it.

I have no idea whether the I R PVPER got any fun out of doing that. I sure didn't, not because I kept getting killed, but because he was blocking access to the crafting station. As soon as I finished the gear, I went outside and got killed by a daedroth to get out as fast as possible. Why bother to go there if "pvp" means "struggle to do content because pvp means the whole point is other players are going to stop you no matter what"? There is no "thrill" in pvp for me. Mostly its a sense of disgust that I'm going to be interrupted again. I am not competitive. I don't really care that you have an ultimate uber god build with totally golded gear and every item bis. Congratulations, you killed me. Yes, yes, you are super leet uber goodest pvper in teh whole world. Now please get our of my was so I can finish this story, m'kay?

I gave up caring about stuff like IR THE BESTEST EVAH in grade school. I have nothing to prove, and don't really care if you do kill me 5000 times in a row. I am not really the player other "real" pvpers are interested in fighting. The gankers, of course, I'm the ideal target. People who want a challenge or a fair fight? Not so much.

I don't disagree that it can be annoying.

For example, there are some nights where I don't want to PVP and just want to do some story. Case in point: Tonight I went to Imperial City for the first time on my Templar. Just wanting to do the story.

Killed once by a NB during the course of two quests. Did it hinder my progress? Not really. Respawn and finish. Did not see him again. Of course, I had no TV stones on me but *shrug* I have like 50k of them in the bank. No loss to me if I lose a few.

I don't see PVP'ers as bloodthirsty and psychopathic. They do their thing and I do my thing. If they kill me when I am not in a PVP mood then ... Big whoop. I'll respawn again. They get bored too.

I get that it can be annoying to do the story and quests with PVP going on around you and indeed sometimes targeting you. But to me it is really no big deal at all. I realise people are different, of course, but I see no real pressing need for a PVE only Cyrodiil and Imperial City.

Truth is though when this game was announced and during development I thought Imperial City was going to be VASTLY different from what it is. But that's another story for another time maybe.
