Any point in morphing Inferno as a Mag DK DPS?

I want the ability to deal damage, so Cauterize is out of the question.

With Flames of Oblivion, I'm running destro staff so the weapon crit is useless and it's already scaling to magicka which is my highest attribute.

Is there any use to morphing this that I'm not seeing?

Bashing with a staff crits based on weapon crit as far as I remember. So it'll be a tiny, tiny dps increase.

Hmm, that's good to know. I hardly ever bash though. Not sure it's wroth the skill point right now.

    Thanks :)

The higher the rank, the more damage it does

Yeah, kinda. According to UESP's skill thingy, the fireball deals slightly more damage as the morphs ranks up

I personally just use inner light for the mages guild passives. Empower and 2% magicka and regen per ability slotted? Its that vs X amount of damage(5 or 6k?) once every 5 seconds for 15 seconds.

The short answer is that it is potentially a very powerful single target DOT that you could slot on your back bar (technically its AOE, but it really only hits one thing at once). I think most DKs dont have room for it most of the time, because DKs (even DPS) often slot things like Deep breath or Chains for some utility in trials. In a pure single target fight where utility and survival aren't at issue (not many of these), it probably merits a spot on your bar.

DK Bars usually look something like this is a DPS:

Front: Whip, embers, engulfing Flames, Innerlight, Trap, Meteor
Back: Blockade, Eruption, Inner Light, Harness Magic, Flex, Standard.

In most vet trials, you really should be running a shield unless you really know the fights. On Hardmodes, they are all but required. Your flex could be Flames of Oblivion, Deep Breath, Chains, etc.
