ZOS bring us SNOW so that we can have a snowball fight with NPC's and with other players

Rockstar is going to be giving us back snow for the holidays (GTA V snowball fight with police officer) and thought maybe you'll follow the same route? Add in LOTS and LOTS of snow in all regions, and let us pick up snowballs from the ground, and start tossing it at other NPC's and other players.

I love GTA and the events they do but that game is no where near the same scale as here . Messing with the base weather here is near impossible as it is instanced and on a cycle with many zones . I agree it would be nice but we can't compare ability to do this with a game that runs on a smaller map with a different engine .

I guess snow would have made more sense than mud balls, but the character/NPC reactions to the mud are funny.

The problem is that they would be accused of copying *that other game*

Especially Alik'r and the jungles of Valenwood, right? ;)

I think it's fine as it is, but I agree it would be nice if we could have snowball fights in the colder regions of Tamriel.

yes,, THIS is exactly what the game needs!SNOW!!

elts put aside fixing ALL the bugs that have been around for months..or work on the terrible designed unbalanced issues and focus on MORE cosmetic unnecessary nonsense, THAt is what the game DEFINITELY needs..

I was kinda hoping ZOS could overhaul the weather system, only so I could enjoy random walks through the landscape more. Eastmarch needs some actual Blizzards, snow in the Rift, Rivenspire, Glenumbra ect.

    THIS would be fun.

Apparently the new Skyrim has a mod that makes the (already area appropriate) weather show a bit more variety. I have been watching my husband play through blizzards and light drizzles with the mod and thinking how fun that would be to have the additional variety in ESO.

eh, I'm happy to see eso not cloning real world weather/events in particular parts of the world. If I wanted to go play in the snow I would go outside, personally :p

...you can have mudball fights instead... ;)

But what I'd like is more snow effects. Like... that "freezing" during the ice bear jump holiday event... I'd love to see that for ALL splashes in wintery skyrim. With a "catch the common cold" illness debuff if you don't go and warm up at a fire after...

And of course, weather. Like sometimes snowy, sometimes sunny, sometimes icy winds, sometimes sight-robbing fog... and that's only eastmarch!

I would love to see more weather and weather effects elsewhere too... like a stamina debuff for heavy armor in the alik'r (because its darn hot in the desert) and stuff like that. And occasional sandstorms.

And way more stuff like that, all over tamriel... from icy winds freezing adventurers to their bones to blistering heat that makes them want to find shade, from pounding rain that turns the ground into squelcing mud to thick fog that makes them stumble around trying to get their brearings, from the occasional hailstorm clattering off their helmets (or hats in case of those lightly armored mages, though that might leave some bruises) to the rare storm driving the waves up the coastline... Weather!

Would be a nice addition if it were practical to do so. Maybe even put Sheogorath behind it or something to explain the odd weather in regions that wouldn't normally see any snow.

GTA is not a MMO but dedicated server based game with 30 or so players per server, just like CoD, Battlefield etc but with a much larger map. Things are much easier to add/remove in games like that compared to large scale MMO's which I could only imagine as a coding nightmare.
That being said, LoTRO did absolutely brilliant festivals every holiday season, including proper snowball fights, which was like a snowball-deathmatch and in the end you got a bunch of snowballs to throw at other players or a chance to get a permanent one.
ESO could learn a lot from LoTRO in this regard, by far the one MMO with the greatest holiday events I ever played (and I've played loads of them!)
    Sometimes, I dream about...cheese...

Dermont - v16 Pompous Altmer Sorcerer (With a very arrogant face!)
Egonieser - v16 Nord Stamina Dragonborn Wannabe
Endoly - v16 Tiny Redguard Sharpened MaceBlade
Egosalina - v16 Breton Cheesus Beam Specialist
Egowen - v16 Dunmer Whipping Expert (Riding crops eluded her)
(Yes, I had to grind all these to v16)
Akamanakh - lvl 22 Khajiit GankBlade (Inspired by Top Cat)
Targos Icewind - lvl 34 Imperial (Future) Jabplar
    (CP 830+)
