    Gah...
This type of situation does suck, I have to agree.
For now, I guess the only thing I can suggest is to use ranged attacks without a cast time. Or after a wolf or spider is obliterated like your screenshot depicts, wait in that exact spot and spam area of effect attacks on the ground until the monster respawns so you will definitely get a hit in.
I really hope the rest of your festivities goes smoothly! :#

    Thanks!
And yeah, I think it is a fun event, but it has a few critical flaws, such as framerate drops/crashes in Kynesgrove and other quest locations and having to camp the mobs.
The problem is, these mobs die from 2-3 damage ticks so not everyone is lucky enough to even hit them... That kinda pits the players against each other and makes the whole thing less fun.

    Ya, that stinks :(
I am lucky to not have crashed from the event yet, but I have experienced major lag from it.
But now that I said that, I should expect at least one crash in my near future lol

Increasing the spawn rates wont help, increasing the amount of areas where the targets spawn would.

This is probably an issue only now, it will slowly get better as people stop spamming attacks and doing that quest

One mitigating factor is that you only have to kill the animals once per character. Once you get the achievement for doing both donating and killing, there's no point in killing any more--just hand over some gold to complete the quest.

I'm planning on just donating gold now, and do the killing a week or two from now for the achievement completion.

Only for the Altmer quest, though. The Orc one needs you to kill the wasps and wolves every time :/
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

I hate having to learn all recipes and motifs on 2 characters if I want the title, 1 character, only knows the armour crafting and other the other 3 so I'd have to do a lot of these quests on the non chef ( that can learn motifs ) just to complete it once

The wasp thing is especially annoying. It's almost like they didn't factor in how many wasps there are and how many people would need to kill them. The event is surprisingly fun. Waiting 10 minutes for a wasp spawn only to have it die in 0.5 seconds before you can even reach it is not. When I find my wasp to kill, I hit it once or twice then drag it around a bit so other can tag it as well in order to help slightly.

Yesterday afternoon the Shadowfen fishing holes were a joke. Each hole was active just barely long enough for one cast. If you didn't hit the hole as it spawned, it would empty before you caught even one fish. That got a bit better by the evening, but still, very poor planning by ZOS to have limited space/mobs/etc for any of these events.

Yea, that's true. But at least for the wolves and wasps, any of the ones on the island will do (even though the quest marker only gives you two small circles), but the Grahtwood one is geographically-limited and harder to do, IME.

This! Betnick is actually not that bad because there are other wasps who live outside the circles and still count for the quest.

I found quite a few along to shore, along with mudcrabs for the meat part, and I was the only one there.

The fishing, and the Grahtwood quest, are unfortunately crowded.

Really, you only have to do it once per character. Just skip that quest after it has been done.

In Grahtwood, the key to killing the monsters is just to stand there and not try to run from place to place. They respawn pretty quickly. Then instant cast AoE works best. Two appearances of the monsters will do it, if you are there and prepared when they appear, since they appear in waves.

For the orcs, there are wolves all over the place, so those are really not an issue. Just find them and kill them. The wasps are more of an issue. Find where one spawns and just stand there. It is only necessary to kill it once, and get the proper damage in to get the drop. Make sure you are on a spawn site. I saw some people spamming AoE off in the middle of "nowhere" and they were attracting people who thought it was actually a spawn spot.

Fishing is also a matter of just sticking to one spot and not running from spawn to spawn. I picked up my fish for the achievement pretty quick. Griefers, intentional or not, tend to kite mobs in from the adjacent areas, so standing away from where people run up is best. The nearby Dolmen is also nice as it pulls people away.

Yup, I agree with OP as well.

So far I love the event and the quests (even though when it first went live I got kicked out the server soo many times  ) but waiting for the mobs to spawn is just boring. I know there is a lot of people playing the festival and yeah I'm fine with waiting a bit, but last night it took me forever to kill 5 "monsters" (I forgot their name!).

Don't think I'll ever understand why company after company,in game after game....year after year keep doing the same exact mistakes over and over and over and over and over again :D

I could have told them long ago this would be a clusterfck.....since I have seen it happen at least a dozen times over the years...

Devs should really start playing some games...as well as making them :D

Personally, I think the gaming industry is getting in-bred. Lots of the same people, with the same ideas, working in an industry where they copy the same ideas from the same people.
