Will crate items be sold in the store at a later date?

Much like limited items are put into crates now, will we see certain mounts like the Red Wolf being sold in the store at some point?

I know things like the Atro mounts won't be but I don't know about anything else - like the chub loon.

@ZOS_GinaBruno some of these items like the red pit wolf, pets, and race specific items people would love to buy. Is there any chance to see this stuff from the current season on the store at some point? Many of us just want one or two of the lesser rewards that aren't atronach themed and it would not make sense to gamble for them.

I would say yes in awhile, my experience with other mmos nothing is ever exclusive or truly limited, so I would not be surprised in a few months to see some special sales in the store.

I hope that is true. Regardless, I hope they will make some kind of statement saying one way or the other. That may be enough to retain some customers if it is being considered as a possibility.

ZOS tends to stick to exclusives and keep them exclusive. That said, not everything in the Crown Crates is exclusive.

I'd love an answer to this @ZOS_GinaBruno ! My biggest problem with the crates are the "normal" items that I'd normally buy on the crown store but can't because I'd have to gamble! Once the season ends, and you can no longer tempt me with the gamble box crown crates to get the red wolf, can I eventually purchase it in the Crown Store?

I do hope they put the atro senche in at a later date when they change the crates as I would buy that for 5000 crowns instantly instead of 15 crates.

I hope that's true. I don't expect to see the atronach stuff. Everything else shouldn't have been exclusive. If these are meant to be seen first in crates and sold later, they really should say. I would be fine with this and they will retain me as a customer. @ZOS_GinaBruno Is it possible we will see some of these items in the store at some point?

I finally took a look at the list of stuff in the crates tonight, and none of the descriptions said crown crate exclusive. Is that something that only shows up after a person buys the crates or gets the items?

I think it's after purchase. Maybe we will get some input on what may or may not be available at some point.

Not always. The Imperial CE bonuses were supposed to be exclusive too, but they sell those for cash now. If they can make a buck on it, they're going to do it. The suits and accountants running the show couldn't care less about ethics.

I actually doubt it would hurt. I think the same people who are buying these would still do so for a chance at early access for the non atronach stuff and many have spent $100+ to get an atronach mount on its own. I think they would actually make more money but won't do this regardless. I would still despise the practice but it would be enough to keep me here and spending money.

I doubt it cause that defeats the purpose of the creates. If they started doing that no one would buy the creates and just "wait" till they release them in the store......

Nothing in any of these crates could approach the value to players that more game content, bug fixes, better player crafting, and a proper player costume creation system would have.

I've seen nothing so far in these crates that would improve my Elder Scrolls Online experience.

Yet they put a lot of time and effort to create a system to add rng to products they would normally sell. The amount of polish these crates have are amazing. This content could have been game content, bug fixes or anything else. Instead we get a system designed to rip people off with a level of quality that dwarfs anything we've seen in a long time.

Even if they did the answer is more then likely, At this point we have no plans to sell the crate exclusive items in the crown store.

They won't sell their stupid scam crates if they do. Items we desire from the Crown Store (and all of the coolest current/future purchasable mounts and other cool additions) will net them much more profit by forcing them into crates.

Let's be real, there's absolutely no way that ZO$ will confirm this right now, not while they're trying to rinse their player base for all that they're worth, it might impact sales of cr*p crates.

Considering that they are bringing out premium assistants soon, I would expect even the atro mounts to be up for direct sale somewhere down the line.
If they can sale the same thing over and over with just a visual upgrade and tag on a premium title, then they proberly will.

They were NOT meant to be exclusive. If you dig up the FAQ back from early access days, it clearly says we would be able to upgrade the standard edition to Imperial after launch. We've been able to do this since April 2014, it isn't something they monetized with the crown store introduction (in fact, the crown option is worse because it's active only on one server - the old upgrade worked on both).

The Explorer's Pack was meant to be exclusive, that's the only thing they eventually went back on (partially) - and I'm glad they did, the racial restriction is asinine and should never have been placed on the game in the first place.

Can't go & check as ps4 in use but IIRC at least one of the pets has been in the store previously - the dog that looks like a black lab - the one time my son deigned to have a go at this game this was the pet he chose to get as it looks like his dog.

Doubt there are 2 similar black dogs in the game. So not really a crate exclusive.

It would make business sense to have some of the mounts / pets available AFTER their crown crate run so as to maximise $$$$$$.

But they won't say this as would affect crate purchases. So don't hold your breath for am announcement quite yet.

Having thought about it some more, the moment they start doing this (say, selling the item six months after it appeared in a crate maybe) the moment they face another community backlash. Additionally, we'd then know, and hold off on buying crates. So no, I don't think they will sadly.

It would also be an idea to allow players to swap cards (no in-game gold involved) so those of us who don't want a particular item/mount or have gained it already are able to swap for something we do want. I understand why the ability to swap apex mounts may not be implemented, but the other mounts are easy enough to get whether you get them via a card or gems. I got the wolf and won't ever use it as I think the actual wolf mounts look bad. I'd have happily swapped it for another similar value item. I'd even have gifted it had i had the option.

I hope they don't. People have purchased the crates under the impression that those items can't be obtained another way. I understand that some people don't like the crown crates, that's fine... Don't buy them.
