    Good point.

    Lazy design?

"Hey Matt, we should add alchemy traits too some fishes"
    "Yeah, we totally should."
"So, you going to do it?
    "no, not me. You?"
"No way, I'm working on thse proc sets."
"Oh they are really nice, let me help you."

    THE END
“Kings of the land and the sky we are; proud gryphons.” Stalker stands, the epitome of pride. Naked and muscular, his wings widen and his feet dig in as if he alone holds down the earth and supports the heavens, keeping the two ever separate.”

I would like to see that, at least for some fish. Maybe for blue fish quality?

i'd say all fish but make them right clickable so you can either eat it as an alchemist herb or skin it for fish meat, best of both worlds and give fishing more use :)

I would call it filleting. Skining fish without boiling them first would be mighty hard.

That fish was an ingredient in Skyrim, gems were ingredients in Morrowind, in Daggerfall we had saint's hair and werewolf blood. It just is different in every game. In ESO fish are food.

There are a LOT of alchemy ingredients possible but... missing. I mean. whatever happened to the oh so traditional eye of newt and toe of frog? ;)
But I for one would love to see more things in alchemy. Way more potions, more ingredients... poisonmaking was a neat fresh breath (so to speak) in that regard... but there could be so much more, so many non-combat effects... and also, other potion types. Like, take a third solvent, and use it to make "alchemy grenades" (from nageteppo to molotiv cocktail) for example...

This could be part of the other post voting fishing to be a skill/line, so much could be done here, rare fish as alchemy ingredients, woodworking to make better fishing poles. ZoS could really make this system cool and tie in more to the game as a whole imo.

Well technically alchemy and provisions as well as other non crafting actions should be aligned but who knows why they aren't. I can't even say it's lazy cause it exists, it's just not connected.

Maybe the 2017 year ahead article will
    Mention something

    boil fish????

    you sir won that debate.

but back on the main point, more alchemy ingredients would really perk up the game tbh, faster swim potions? potions that take the place of food buffs that give things like crit or stealth radius reduction, etc.

    give people more choices.

and to my last bit above, yes i can see raw stats thing making gank builds more annoying but just think, they'll also be squishier if found. think about it, less hp, stam and/or magicka stats/regens
