I actually like fishing in ESO. I usually turn the music off and just listen to the environmental sounds. It's relaxing. Not to mention the picturesque vistas.

But catching a lot of fish, and having nothing to show for it is a bit of a letdown.

You always have the option of not grinding it. I understand that there are some players that feel compelled to be max level at everything. I get it. If a new progression were introduced, you would have no choice but to grind it out.

Yea, I'm not exactly sure how I would envision it working. Being able to catch rare fish that through provisioning could be made into food buffs that really matter. Fishing tournaments, achievements, etc. Or, just plain old gold.

No, just because I don't understand the point. You already always get something if you use the proper bait. Explain what you are looking for. Also, I don't want to use even more skill points without an introduction of more ways to get skill points into the game.

I'd like fishing and other minor things like this in the game to be expanded on. I have never fished once in the game because there is practically no reason to. A daily quest or something would be nice, and not exactly a skill tree but some sort of leveling system to make fishing easier or more rewarding.

You can have better baits without locking them behind lvl requirements. (Are the baits you get from the waters better than insects you harvest?) I think it would be just too dull to "level up" fishing. The only reason for fishing skill would be giving huge increase to the chance of getting perfect roe.

Sure. I would love a "crafting" skill line devoted to the outdoor-istic lifestyle... with perks that give bonus chance to get a good fishie, and perks that get a bonus chance to get neat hides from skinning critters... stuff like that.

A skill line perhaps a little like the legerdemain one perhaps? With the possibility of a bonus to green fish, bonus to blue fish, better contents of gunny sacks, occasional extra normal fish and for the top skill perhaps a bonus to perfect roe?

Can't for the life of me figure out why caught bait doesn't increase your chance of rare fish, though. It seems like such an obvious way to design it.

As long as the base figures for catching rare fish etc was left as it is and not nerfed then yes. Passives could be increased chance of rare fish, increased chance of perfect roe and at max level use any bait in any water

These passives, plus a passive to have a chance to catch a bait and a fish at the same time.

More recipes that require perfect roe. Introduction of green, blue, and purple provisioning mats along with perfect roe.

When fishing, add a chance to catch a message in a bottle that would send you on a repeatable quest (rescue shipwrecked sailors, etc.).
