Let's talk Meteor. It's a very common skill and a lot of people are using it! This thread is about Meteor in PvP, though. PvE got nothing to do with it! Unfortunately I am not able to record any videos, so I cannot show you what I mean, but I'll try and explain it!
It's around primetime on EU/PC. One campaign is full and another campaign is 1-2 factions on locked, one on high. You're playing with your friends, laughing with each other on Teamspeak, when suddenly.. Everyone stops moving. We can't move. There's no indication that we got cc'ed and we can't really see anyone either. 3 seconds later: Ka-boom'd. Meteor to the face. We wonder where it came from and why we got cc'ed before the meteor actually hit us. Invisible meteor best meteor. NERF METEOR!!
^Joke aside(Yes, I was trying to be funny). I understand that it's the server catching up. So I get where the issue is coming from, it's just turning out to be a major problem and here is why:
1) If you're running away from enemies and someone dumps a meteor on you(and you hear it coming) you immediately mist form or block, so you wont get cc'ed, but since it stuns you beforehand, you got no time to block so you end up taking the full knock-up. RIP. Or the double-CC. You CC-break the stun that comes from meteor before it hits('cus by now you've learnt..) so you cc-break it, yet you get knocked up into the air.
2) Roll-back'ed due to meteor. So, imagine you're at Chalman Milegate, Mist Forming for your life up the wooden stairs. You got hit by a meteor when you were on the middle stairs, but you still made it to the top. Suddenly, AY LMAO BACK TO THE MIDDLE FLOOR WITH YOU, BOI. Oops, you got roll-back'd. Get rekt.
tl;dr: Nerf meteor. It causes roll-backs and knock-ups although you *should* be cc-immune! And it cc's before the Meteor actually hit you.
Have a lovely day and enjoy ESO! -chirps-.

-Dawnbreakers (Suddenly i cant move for some reason > then i can move for some meters > I see the holy purifying light of Mediria > get cc'ed > break free and then i'm back to where everything started lol).
Why all this happens? What is your normal latency?

sounds like a personal issue not a server issue. i have pvped for years, taken so many meteors and while i am not good enough to dodge them (takes 2 dodgerolls) i can easily block them.
Your issue sounds a lot more like latency than skills balance. Cyro-lag introduces many such problems.
After you've played for a while, you get to the point where the meteor sound effect causes an instant block. You just react. And that more or less eliminates the threat, if they didn't use some other ability to stun you first.
No, you don't. Meteor does not CC you upon cast. It displays a graphic on the ground below your feet and plays a sound allowing you to block or dodge roll out of it. If you aren't blocking it or avoiding it in time, that's your problem or its a lag problem. It has literally nothing to do with the skill.
This thread has been brought to you from October 2015.
You might want to change the wording in your title. People will see "Nerf Meteor" and go straight for your throat, when in reality you just want it fixed.
Other ultimates, like incap and dawnbreaker also don't seem to care about CC immunity. I love getting dizzying swinged, picking myself up, then taking a dawnbreaker to the face only to get knocked down again.

Ik, but I did it intentionally. To avoid having do discuss with people who clearly doesn't bother to read an entire first post(and hopefully make them feel embarassed so they never comment on anything again without reading the first post!). I got no intention of talking to people that doesn't bother to read/find the essence of the topic.

Meteor is good the way it is - when it works as intended
