As far as I'm aware, Treasure Hunter doesn't increase the chance of jewelry per say, but it does seem to add, or seriously increase the drop rate of, Zone sets to the loot tables.

Treasure Hunter increases your chance to get more than one set item from a chest as well as bumping up the item quality by one level.

With the passive, Advanced and Master chests guarantee a purple item and Intermediate chests still have a pretty good chance of dropping one.

I found more purple jewellery in chests compared to dolmen rewards.
But then again, i also had several hundred treasure maps stashed away for 1T. I now have about 600 set pieces.

So help me out here, who and why is wearing this in their CP160+ characters?
    I have 4 main characters at CP160.
3 of them wear full sets of CP160 Trainee. And by full i mean all armor pieces, all jewellery and all weapons.

The reason being that you get a really nice boost to your CP experience when killing mobs.
It's like a free always on XP scroll.

Even for endgame characters Trainee has her benefits :)

I did not do the full math yet, but....

My math gut feeling is that the benefits of the CP tree are soooo strong compared to the benefits of other armor traits...
that the more CP's from faster getting CP's outperform the conventional armor traits up to CP level of approx 200-300.

    In practical terms:
As long as your account is below 200-300 CP, doing everything in 100% training trait Armor (not your weapon !), will give you a small disadvantage at the start, but pretty soon your higher CP level will give you the better performance.
The 200-300 depends a bit on your kind of build.
"I still do not understand why I followed the advice of Captain Rana to bring the villagers of Bleakrock into safety. We should have fought for our village and not have backed down, with our tail between our legs.
Now my home village is in shambles, the houses burning, the invaders feasting.
I swear every day to Shor that after Molag Bal has been defeated, I will hunt down the invaders and restore peace in Bleakrock and drink my mead with my friends at the market place".

It's 100% possible to use Trainee set in a PVP build without using Training trait - albeit very specific pieces must be worn. You can get a Reinforced, Sturdy, or Well Fitted Chest. You can get jewelry in any trait. Finally, you can get Impen/Reinforced shields and Sharpened 1hers, as well as a Defending 2her. One of my dueling builds runs the Defending 2her on back bar, and a Sharpened 1her on front bar. You lose the health on swaps but I'm not as worried about that when I start fights by precasting a Vigor.

I also have a full set of Trainee + Dreugh King Slayer that is 100% training traits (except for sharpened weapons) which I use for PVE grinding to get champion points faster. It's a significant increase in XP.
