Given that they just introduced the recipe for Super Ambrosia with the patch yesterday morning (thereby allowing them to include the super XP scrolls because technically it's now available in-game)...gonna say yes here.

Mods call crown crates a divisive issue. As in large portions of the community are against it and ZOS is fully aware. Everything lately says they don't care and are going ahead anyway. Not much more to say really.

Oh yeah they're coming, you can be sure of that considering ZoS hired someone new to their team who is well known specifically for cash RNG boxes with multiple other publishers. Most know how these turned out in these other games too. will 'ours' be different? we have to wait and see, but personally I expect things to unfold just as they have in other games.

While they did say they were building a different kind of MMO. They did not say anything about a different kind of gamble box.

These actually seem worse then most gamble boxes. I tried to stick with SWTOR after the f2p transition because I liked the game. The items in the boxes that I would have wanted for my character I purchased with in game currency. The lackluster focus in actual content killed SWTOR for me.

These boxes also seem to go against the entire idea of buy to play. That seems to imply freedom of purchase these lack.

Swtor has not been able to bounce back even after a new franchise film was released with two more to go . They really blew it over there bad . They allow players to sell or trade those items but they put way too much focus on them instead of the game . That's why it's so dead over there .

@Cazzy The last I heard was 'end of November.' I expect it will be on or around Black Friday (can't remember if you're from the States, so... November 25th is Black Friday) but I've heard no official word to that effect.

Worry not, the fleecing will begin soon.

Wrothgar is still a lagfest. That may or may not change after the event, given that even relatively empty zones are spiking to over 1k.

Not sure 1T has made much difference. I see a lot of people, but most of them appear to be running solo. I see more WB groups of late though, so perhaps it's slowly taking hold.

Haven't been to Cyrodil. Not sure I'll ever go. Not particularly interested in becoming a notch on someone's epeen just to get shards.
Resistance is not futile! Say no to the Greed Collective™. Boycott Crown Crates.

Ahhh that would make sense. Sales and Crown Crates = lots of money for ZOS!

Am sure they will be here soon, they will definitely want them 'established' in the game before thanksgiving and x-mas holiday periods, apart from the obvious huge sales potential with people off work/college etc they will most likely be working on special holiday event crates too

Definitely. Including special motifs for the New Life Festival. Le sigh.

I don't know if we can say who. She is the marketing director. Worked on SWTOR, The Secret World, Perfect World International. The Controversial Mass Effect 3 multiplayer was likely her doing as its listed as well. She lists micro-transaction strategy. I am not looking forward to where this is headed as none of these games I considered gems after.

Edit. Its public information. If they have a problem, I don't care.

Specialties: studio leadership, online marketing, team development, branding, micro-transaction strategy, P&L development, public relations, SEO, SEM, media buys, affiliate programs, partnerships, advertising, staff training & education, brand development, behavioral targeting, qualitative & quantitative research.

AAA Video games on PC, Mobile & Console including:
WildStar, StarWars - The Old Republic, DawnGate, Secret World, Perfect World International, Jade Dynasty, Diner Dash, Wedding Dash 3, PetShop Hop, Mass Effect 3, Mass Effect Infiltrator, Mass Effect3 DataPad, Evolution, Jungle Heat, Dragon Age Legends, Command and Conquer Tiberium Alliances, and many more.

Cyrodiil has been pretty poisonous since One Tamriel... & I don't mean 'toxic'... I mean billowing clouds of poisonous gas & rolling balls of poison EVERYWHERE !@#! ;D I got hit by a guy using Vicecannon, Viper & Velidreth (VVV) the other night & was instantly turned into a bubbling pool of poisonous goo.

    I can't complain though... I was also using Viper & Velidreth :)

    Wrothgar fixed yet?

Has One Tamriel brought more people together?

    How is Cyrodiil?

Crown crates: it's coming. IMO, I don't care for crown crates as long as it's cosmetic. Although, I have no problem with the current selection of items from the crown store. As long as they don't start to add gear/weapons/potions VASTLY superior to what we can get in-game, it's fine. (XP scrolls? Meh. I always found that purely optional. Convenience should come at a price, anyway. It's more Pay-for-Time than Pay-to-win.)

Wrothgar: I don't experience any lag, but I haven't been spending too much time there since the anniversary event. Before that, it was going smooth for me.

One Tamriel: I definitely see more players around. Esp around dolmens, world bosses, and public dungeons. I like it. Some are open to group up, and a quick "need help with Boss at ___ " in zone chat generally nets some players actually going to your spot and help kill that Boss. In general, I am happy with there being more players around. Makes the game feel alive.

    Cyrodiil: Wouldn't know. Never been.

Im pretty much a copy of this (on PS4 Eu). I think the events tend to send more players to certain areas. im seeing lots of players just running around collecting mats in wrothgar atm

Like more players around and like that fact you need a few to take bosses down. Makes them more scary and a bigger sense of achievement (as opposed to pre OT when I could solo most bosses at lvl50)
