[IDEAS] Skill Changes to ALL Classes Focused on Stamina

Before I jump into all the changes I wish that this becomes a constructive discussion, so keep it polite, and if you don't agree with something, please say what and why, don't just coment "no" or "lol", you're not helping anyone by being a troll. These ideas mainly revolve around the stamina versions of skills

Introduction - "I am sick of the rapid strikes meta", I find myself saying that a little too often, and if I could I'd reduce the cruel flurry enchant to 1500 wep damage only :P, but I can't so I decided to take on the skills (a lot more fun too). And I know the we don't have to go with the meta, but honestly, stamina users are all the same, it feels the same reguardless of the class you're playing, pretty much Rapid Strikes, Rending Slashes, Rearming Trap, Steel Tornado, Rend, Caltrops, Poison Injection, Endless Hail. Being that you have 3 other skills and 1 other ultimate. Feels the same thing over and over again (Also i'm a big fan of weaving, and rapid strikes does slow you down :P). So here I have a few changes to stamina versions of skills for every class, with the addition of new ones completly.

Nightblade
Reaper's Mark (Mark Target) - After the mark goes off, it marks the closest enemy with the lowest health. Major Berserk reduced to 4 seconds.
Relentless Focus (Grim Focus) - Lower the damage for the Assassin's Scourge by 20%, but every time something dies the buff recasts itself.
Surprise Attack (Veiled Strike) - No longer applies Major Fracture. Marks enemy with every strike increassing the damage of the next Surprise Attack within 6 seconds by 10%, stacking this buff up to 5 times. Casting Surprise Attack from stealth or invisibility still stuns.
Dark Shades (Summom Shade) - Now deals desiese damage, and scales with max stamina and weapon damage. Grants Minor Expedition to caster when the shades hit the target for 3 seconds.
Debilitate (Cripple) - Now deals desiese damage, and scales with max stamina and weapon damage. Can be cast on multiple targets, when a target dies restores 10% of the target's max health to player up to a 15% of players max health.

Dragonknight
Shifting Standard - Now costs less and deals poison damage instead. Applies Stack of Deadly poisoned every 5 seconds to all enemies inside the area.
Flame Lash (Lava Whip) - Renamed to Venomous Whip. Deals poison damage and applies a stack of deadly poisoned, that deals 1% of target's maximum health every 2 seconds as poison damage, stacking up to 3 times, stacks last for 6 seconds. Atacking an enemy with 3 stacks of deadly poisoned allow you to cast Power Lash instead, dealing 150% of the damage and knokcing the enemy down for 3 seconds, and consumes all 3 stacks of deadly poisoned.
Obsidian Shard (Stonefist) - No longer stuns. Reduced cost by about 35%. Marks the target for 3 seconds. After the mark goes off, deals damage based on target's maximum health, damage taken on last 3 seconds, and target's missing health.

Templar
Empowering Sweep (Radial Sweep) - Deals physical damage and scales with maximum stamina and weapon damage. Deals 5% extra damage per enemy hit up to 50% extra damage. Also grants Major Berserk for 5 seconds.
Biting Jabs (Puncturing Strikes) - No longer grants Major Savagery. Grants Minor Berserk for 10 seconds after completing the cast.
Explosive Charge (Focused Charge) - Now deals physical damage and scales with maximum stamina and weapon damage. Deals damage to all enemies in the area, and slowing them down by 30% for 2 seconds.
Radiant Glory (Radiant Destruiction) - Deals physical damage and scales with maximum stamina and weapon damage. Targets under 20% take 250% extra damage. Heals the user and one friendly target by 10% of the damage done. Range lowered to 7 meters.

Sorcerer
Crystal Blast (Crystal Shard) - No longer has a cast time, and no longer stuns. Now scales with maximum stamina and weapon damage, enemies around the main target take 50% less damage and are slowed by 50% for 2 seconds.
Shattering Prison (Encase) - Renamed to Profane Soil. No longers immobilizes enemies, now deals physical damage every half second. Enemies under 50% health take extra damage based on missing health up to 50% extra damage at 20% health. Enemies with 70% or more health recieve Minor Fracture.
OVERALL CHANGE TO PETS - Now pets damage scale with maximum stamina and weapon damage, dealing physical damage OR maximum magicka, spell damage and deal magic damage, based on whatever is higher.

Final thoughts - This post contains MAJOR buffs and changes made to stamina skills ONLY to all classes. It took me a few days to think of all of this and try to balance as well as I could. If requested I would love to give the magicka users and tanks some nice changes as well, but as a stamina user mainly, I had to start here. Don't forget to add anything you see fit and lets discuss it down in the comments :)

    I really want to agree with most of these, but I personally believe that it is given way too much damage to PvP and PvE Stamina users. Magicka are indeed stronger in overall play but adding THIS to stamina would be too, too, too strong. I suggest reviewing the damage caps if anything. Good luck

    At least on the part of the NB, what I see are PVP nerfs in exchange for some kind of sustained PVE increase. Gosh that sounds wonderful. I would love to be nerfed in PVP because you are tired of maelstrom weapons and flurry.

    You have good intentions, but for most of your suggestions they are a little over the top.

    Suprise attack is fine as is since it applies fracture debuff it has decent dmg.

    Poison whip would be super welcome on my stam DK I could use that instead of animation canceling with LA ransack bash combo, but the deadly poison would be broken,

    The rest seem semi reasonable but need heavy evaluation for balance.

    Ignore the biased magicka community anything to balance stam is a nono to them, despite magicka based builds being the meta since the games inception.

    Nightblades:
    1. Instead of having it auto recast, change it so you do not have to recast it to get assasin's scourge procs, that way one activation can yoeld multiple scourges.
    2. Surprise attack stacking may be way too OP..would have to lower its damage.
    3. Debilitate change is cool.

    Sorcs:
    1. Interesting change with crystal blast.
    2. Disagree with giving sorcs a stam execute with shattering prison since they already deal good AoE damage, giving them more single target damage would upset the balance.

    Dk:
    1. A big no to poison damage. It would be too OP, DK damage is good where it is at.
    2. 1% of max health on stam whip? HM Rakkat has 80 million life, 1 % of that is 800k....way too OP.
    3. No execute for DKs is needed they arent built for it and thats a good thing. Each class shines in a specific situation.

    Templar:
    1. Love the radial sweep idea
    2. Minir berserk addition im ok with, but just want to make sure its not too OP.
    3. Radiant Glory idea is interesting. I love the low health requirement, but i would not add the healing component. Seeing how templar can raise their weapon damage quite a bit an execute on a stamplar will hit really hard...

    I'm not much of a PVE player, but afaik from talking with my PVE player friends - the main issue with stamina builds in PVE is not their DPS, as they are pretty competitive with Magicka, but it's their lack of extra utility and survivability that the magicka builds get. Seems like you'd want to err in that direction rather than upping the damage.

    To be completely honest here a lot of your changes are decent, some of them are completely terrible. I don't have time to go down the entire list and tell you which is which.

    Bluntly put - stamina builds are already very powerful. They have access to 4 weapon skill lines compared to magickas 1. I believe ZoS needs to work on magicka viablility more so than removing even more skills from them. Would like your idea much better if it included adding skills rather than replacing them.

    My 2 cents

    General: Spamming should Not be encouraged any spam friendly mechanic should be a punishment not a buff.

    don't touch debilitate please one of the few things mageblade has for DPS
    SA Are you kidding that skill does not need a buff if anything higher base damage but if used within say 2.5 seconds it looses 25% damage stacking.
    The rest seems okay and quite interesting

    DK:
    Damage based on max health is OP for PvE especially trials yet will be crap for PvP.

    Sorc:
    No to spammable shards
    yes to profane soil and pet scaling

    Temp:
    Yes to all but the radiant glory however I would choose the other morph of radial sweep not the defence one.

    These are all bad but let me touch on the ones that jumped out at me:

    "Surprise Attack (Veiled Strike) - No longer applies Major Fracture. Marks enemy with every strike increassing the damage of the next Surprise Attack within 6 seconds by 10%, stacking this buff up to 5 times. Casting Surprise Attack from stealth or invisibility still stuns."

    Giving a 50% damage buff to an already strong melee spam is just ridiculous as it can already hit 30k+ in a raid.

    "Flame Lash (Lava Whip) - Renamed to Venomous Whip. Deals poison damage and applies a stack of deadly poisoned, that deals 1% of target's maximum health every 2 seconds as poison damage, stacking up to 3 times, stacks last for 6 seconds. Atacking an enemy with 3 stacks of deadly poisoned allow you to cast Power Lash instead, dealing 150% of the damage and knokcing the enemy down for 3 seconds, and consumes all 3 stacks of deadly poisoned."

    Do you have an idea how brokenly overpowered this would be on any trial boss? On rakkhat hardmode the third stack of deadly poison would hit for 2,640,000

    "Radiant Glory (Radiant Destruiction) - Deals physical damage and scales with maximum stamina and weapon damage. Targets under 20% take 250% extra damage. Heals the user and one friendly target by 10% of the damage done. Range lowered to 7 meters."

    Because this is exactly what we need, stamplars to have an execute in pvp while healing themselves. Not to mention radiant can be empowered by the maelstrom daggers and it would definitely make stamplars the top dps and be invincible during execute phase

    "Crystal Blast (Crystal Shard) - No longer has a cast time, and no longer stuns. Now scales with maximum stamina and weapon damage, enemies around the main target take 50% less damage and are slowed by 50% for 2 seconds."

    Alright lets take one of the hardest hitting skills in game, and take away its cast time. Surely thats what stamina needs right?

    All this plus isn't stam the stronger build ATM?

    Nerf Maelstrom Duel wield. I agree. I wont pve stam dps since its so boring.

    I wish that there were more morphs from class skills that morphed into stamina. If you take away the weapon skills for both stamina and magicka users you will find that magicka based skill far out way stamina. Yes, this was done because of having more stamina based weapons but those skills lock you into using that particular weapon which in the case with the OP has made it to where it is pretty much 2W and bow for PvE (I am not much of a PvPer so will not comment on that). This set up forces us to run vMA over and over to get the 2 maelstrom daggers for the cruel enchantment. This game was made to be played how you want but to be competitive you must follow the meta. This is one reason why I stick with tank and healer because there are far more variations that work.

    I'm super against a stamina whip, purely because that is the major difference between stam dk and mag dk. Not to mention there would be no point in running a mag dk as everything the stam can do would be better aside from not being able to spam wings and talons.

    awesome idea @Rataroto but some changes to op to some skills like @TotallyNotVos wrote, just witch change dont buff it to much and will be much better :smiley:

    and also Im getting sick while I see meta to all stamina dps with only msa duals and rapid, nothing better than this damn sick rapid with msa dual while magica builds can have msa destro just as offbar to buffs, dots etc and dps with they self skills

    Yes, it's painful to change the morph of whip everytime you switch from PVE to PVP (and vice versa) but no to stam whip, i'm happy with my noodle. My stam dk is also happy with dizzying swing - heroic slash in Cyrodiil / Rapid Strikes in trials.

    Edit: And you know you don't need the "meta" skill rapid strikes on a NB outside of trials and do not need at all on a Templar ?

    yeah, at all templar ans tam nb have enough low dps with rapid and msa duals, templar jabs dps in compare to msa dual rapid is very similiar...almost no difference, how about stamblade with msa rapid in compare to surpiose...I dont know but as I see my great dps with surpise attack and how more exp players telling me how stam nb have the worst dps wih msa duals...meh, just *** those msa boring rapid and go with class skill :smiley:

    don't touch debilitate please one of the few things mageblade has for DPS

    I think you're thinking of Crippling Grasp. Debilitate is the other morph, and doesn't do as much damage.
