Double nodes in Orsinium

Ok so yesterday, I was out farming alchemy reagent. I noticed a guy farming as well, except he was leaving the junk on every node he picked up. A lot of people were complaining in chat about half nodes and such. So he's being a *** in chat of course. The he said something about "competitive farming", and he was leaving those as some kind of trail back. I am wondering if this a real thing or he was just trolling or is this some real method. I never leave nodes, for me it makes no sense. Time to respawn is way too long. I ignored most of the chatter in game as it wasn't really affecting me. But this seems a little unsporting, IMHO.

He was trolling. Real farmers expect to return back to an area. Quick and controlled respawn is important and leaving nodes behind is counterproductive.

That's what I was thinking, I know when I run certain routes it wouldn't be beneficial to leave them as it takes too long to refill the node as opposed to respawn. I figured he was just being a ***.

Just look at the efficiency of the North West Craglorn farming spot for Nirn. Peace and quiet gave an endless rotation.

I have several that I run in Hews Bane. No need to run timed exactly right. I guess I don't understand some people's need to make someone else's life harder.

Still can't believe there are so many people running around for these nodes like their lives depend on it. It's crazy. So many times people just run past these nodes under normal circumstances, yet give them 2 or 3 more and they turn delirious. The only ones worthwhile to me are the silk ones. It's the only mats I have under 1k. Think I have around 3k wood and about the same in ore.

I was actually using it for alchemy, dragon thorn and blessed thisthe are hard to find for me now. I do find twice as much columbine though.

That i understand. I've been picking up alchemy nodes whilst doing the dailies, but I just leave the rest of them to fight over the gear mats. Even help a few people by clearing out the enemies. It's funny because they obviously think I'm about to steal their node and make a mad dash for it.

unfortunately, players have been conditioned to expect that kind of dogfight, because it does happen all too often...

It is so dumb to leave Worms and such behind. People pay for that stuff so they can fish.

I hate when people do that, I think its rude. Just take the whole bloody thing.

That being said, I was going to avoid the zone because why fight over nodes with a ton of people. But then I remembered that by the time I log on there are not a lot of people on, because I am in Alaska. So I went ahead and checked it out. I got like 10 Kuta last night and an insane amount of good plants like Columbine. In a normal run I might get 10 or so. I have 44. I wonder what this is going to do to the market actually.

I didn't find any nodes with just dumb things in them like just worms. But I did have one plant vanish while I was trying to get it and no one was around. So that was weird.

Because everyone's in Wrothgar right now ... that leaves other farming spots player-free.

How fast people go through columbine, I suspect it will do very little as far as alchemy reagents go. It might have a little effect on people being able to shift it for ridiculous prices for the next week or so, but nothing long term. In fact, it's probably sensible for people who don't use potions regularly to hold onto it and sell it on after the event. I can see the prices of material nodes coming down, though. Can't believe people still sell the tier 10 wood and refined rubedite for insane prices like they did when they first appeared. Unless you do absolutely no node farming, then you're swimming those mats in no time. The leather and silks are different, they're a lot harder to come by but still easy-ish enough.

I ended up with enough materials in under 2 hours last night to refine 7 gold tempers. Big fan of this event!

- Only got the worms by themselves twice I think.
- I also did get one completely empty node which was odd.

Leather is pretty easy if you know where to go. Farmed about 2k leather yesterday in about 2 - 2 1/2 hours.
