Does anyone know if we will ever be able to purchase more character slots?

I'm a bit of an alt-aholic. Call me crazy, but I very much enjoy the grind from 1-50. I also roleplay with all 12 of my toons on a weekly basis.

I'd love to be able to buy another 4 character slots. I don't really want to buy another account, as all my collectibles and CP are important to me.

Has there been any news on this? Perhaps if they ever release a new class? How hard is this to implement? Thanks!

They likely will up the limit someday, and let people buy more slots. After all, it would not cost them much to implement, and earn them some profit... though I also expect the "when" will be decided by just how many people buy the currently available fout, if many max out their slots to 12, they will see it as sign there is a market for more, but if most stay at the free 8, they will be more likely to take their time...

New classes definitely would be an opportunity to add slots, though I keep thinking just adding new classes at this point will severely vex those who played the game since summer '14 - I know it would me, both for the "Waaah, now I gotta level more characters..." and even moreso the "Waaahhhhh, why was this class not there when I first made my bosner, it would have been -sooo- much better for her..."
Thus I really hope that if thes fiffle with classes (which they should) they would make it in some way useful for both new characters and old characters, not as "just adding a new class", but more as "refitting option for existing classes".
But I talked about that at length elsewhere...

More characters are available now in Crown Store for 1,500 crowns.

I hope the let us have more than 12 eventually. It took me about a day to fill the 4 they just gave us. NEED MORE SLOTS!!! Like all of the slots.

I'm betting if they ever release new Classes. I too would like more but won't complain much about my current stable.

Maybe do all the quests n stuff first and max crafting, mounts, etc.

There's no way you done most of the game on 12. Prob then is when they'll expand

(Honestly have no idea but concerned that you want more slots already)

Oh, I've played since Beta. I've done every quest in the game except Cyrodil ones. Have max crafter with every single trait researched. All characters 50. Working on the horses...

But the things for me isn't really in-game things or content, it's that I enjoy making new people and creating their in-game appearances and backstories. I roleplay a bunch. That's how I personally enjoy playing this game!

I suppose it COULD be cause for concern, but I have no problem admitting that I have a bit of an addiction to character creation, lol!

Yeah I understand that, but, more than 12 characters? I mean...MOAR? I have only two Mains, two other Level 50s I doubt I'll touch, and one Level 6 that will probably forever be a Level 6.

Well... in City of Heroes/Villains I had about 20 characters of varying levels and in SWTOR I currenty have 12 characters. It's nothing unusual among RPers to have that many alts.

At $15 a slot, I'm surprised they sell at all. $15 for the 4 would be acceptable, but at current prices, I doubt they have people lining up at the door for them.

You no longer need to download the entire game twice to play on the NA server and the EU server. When on the other server all your crown purchases, achievements, collectables are separate but at least you can have 8 - 12 more character slots.

There was a time, back in the days of having one character - which I greatly prefer - when that was your identity in an online game. The ethos there was pseudonymity not anonymity.

Folks would get second accounts to play their "dark glasses" character. It took some time before that was accepted. How could you trust someone with a second character, after all?

But games like this are more about entertaining yourself than being a citizen in an alternate world.

I haven't even filled up my default slots, but I see no reason why they shouldn't up the limit. It adds to the enjoyment of some, doesn't take anything away from the rest of us, and wouldn't hurt the game.

Save some money, buy another account. Downside, no CP. Upside, mail back and forth between them and a second bank.

I've got more than 12 level 50s, let alone more than 12 characters...

I've only used 1 each new slot on each account so far. I'm trying to stretch it out.

I am surprised they don't give you more or that they make you pay for the final four.

This game is all about repeating content and what better way to ensure you will than by making go through character creation ad nauseum.

I only have 2 that I play regularly, another 2 that I dabble with, and another 8 that I could never delete because I have become 'attached' to them and I will play them at some point... probably, maybe... I would most certainly buy a few more slots if I were able, I have a great little thing I want to try in my head and am currently trying to decide which one of my creations to kill.....
