Help with suckmplar!

I have a suckmplar that doesn't convince me how is doing it. I think I'm the one that sucks and not my beautiful templar Argonian ;D

I tried to make it magicka with heavy armor but is not doing well in pve, duels or pvp in ciro.

I need the right build that combines heavy armor, magicka, sustain and damage. I don't know if there is something that works for pve and pvp together or if I need 2 kind of different gear.

I create for me the kagrenac set in purple with all magicka glyphs and also 4 pieces Magnus. Traits are all impen and 3 are block cost reduction.

I think you've got the idea, there are many templars out there with the build I mean.

Also would help me know which statistics should I have more or less in the end. My plataform is PC.

Thank u guys!

Heavy armor is pointless for pve. Go 5 light. You'll have far better sustain.

Better to have 2 sets one for pvp and 1 for pve.

Also you're never going to hurt anything with block glyphs or impen.

I know I will not hurt. Is not a burst build I'm looking for.

I'm looking for the typic kragenac build for templar in heavy armor. There are also magicka DK with it.

I need more help than only that.. :)

which role do you want to play?

healer: pve = worm, inf.aether,SPC (light offcourse), kagrenacs
dd: pve = julianons, TBS, 3 PCs aether/willpower/moondancer, grothdarr (or skoria)

But like said before, best is to have a set for PVP and one for PVE.
(and even then.... some morphs are better for PVE while the other one is better for PVP)

Templars are my favorite class, Magika templars are the best healing class and also one of the best dps my main is an Altmer magika templar who I switch between DPS and healer and with my stamplar I can do the highest damage of all my characters in PvE but he is a khajiht.

    How are templars bad??

The Argonian maybe isnt the best choice for a PvE DPS, but it can be an amazing Tank or Healer and in PvP it will be so good with already Major mending + 10% healing passive and blazing shield+ the 9% extra health is stupid good.

The 12% on potion drinking is nice too and the poison and desiease resist in PvP is soo good vs stam NB and DK.

What you have is mostly a L2P issue, just get the right gear and the hang of your class and you will see how good this combo really is

I can't help you for PvE. Using light armor with traits other than impen and block cost reduction is a great start there. Think Divines

When it comes to pvp Magplars are strong. You should focus on having reasonable HPs with 5 heavy 1 medium 1 light armor. Then you need your magicka regen.

You should be able to run 2 x 5 piece bonuses and a monster helm set. Do this or run 1 x5 piece 3x agility and then 2 weapons of whatever. Shield and sword are strong options for templar with a resto on the back bar. I do see a lot of S&B and S&B set ups.

Target 27k health with around 20k resists.

Dont forget to put CPs into physical resists.

Then the last point. LEARN TO PLAY... By that I mean learn when to block CC abilities learn when you cant block. Learn to manage stam and magicka. Find a group of players to roll with using voice chat who can show you the ropes.

No one is automatically good at PvP. It takes practice and time and the right build for YOU.

Why not simply run in zergs, spamming jesus beam and destro ultis like 99% of all do nowadays?
Use something crazy for armor, like eternal yokeda, armor master, black rose and combine it with cheese instant proc set. Use grothdarr, skoria, infernal guardian or swarm mother, it is super effective to pull ppl inside zerg where destro ultis will melt them. There is no point in trying to l2p in PvP, just run mindlessly where the crown tells you to, and be sure to spam jesus beam 24/7, its super effective.

I run Sanctuary and Soulshine with Engine Guardian for PvE. Divines.

I run Rattlecage and Soulshine with Malubeth for PvP. Impenetrable.

1H+shield and resto for more defense or DW and resto for more offense. Many options since all sets can be easily farmed.

there is no reason to run heavy on a magic user in PvE...or impen for that matter. Use divines for PvE. Your race is more for a healer. If you want to deal damage with this character you should think about changing to High Elf. Really we would need to know a lot more about what you want to do with this guy to give better advice, but you should have a set-up for PvE and a different one for PvP. Same applies to running Dps or Healer

Heavy armor in pve means you are a tank or healer.

I use my Templar in pve as a balanced class. For pledges, I will literally play the role of dps/healer/tank if I feel the group needs some help. Though I'm more of a "cleric healer" build.

    Inspiration:
    b1dc0d8937d2f3e7ecb7d389c8f4892c.jpg

    Edit:
    Build stats:

Pve - if you run heavy armor as DPS, be prepared to have a playstyle that highlights your strengths. In Heavy armor you receive more healing, have more resistance values and have more health. This means you can concentrate fully on the resource of your choice for Dmg and survive many hits.

As a playstyle, you will probably need to slot a solo-heal to help the healer so they can dps. Also, you will need to take some hits, help rez dead players, etc. Helping the tank out by taking agro of mobs that target the healer or squishy dps so the tank can keep the boss controlled. You should have a mob on you at all times, to proc the wraith passive. Under heavy armor, you could still run stage four vampire for extra undead passives. You need at least 2k spell dmg 30k Magicka minimum.

PvP - you are the last Magicka class in cyro. Heavy armor is your companion, your tool against the scourge that is proc-disease. You will need vampire to gain extra dmg mitigation and the only escape spell available to you (mist form). Despite normal conventions, crit is important to a Templar since it helps add dps and healing. Not to mention, your class shield scales off health and returns dmg to the enemy. Be up front, take a stand, and heal those around you. Youll need at least 30k health/32k Magicka, 25k physical resistance minimum in pvp.
