When I first started playing, I didn't like this, too. But it really has grown on me. It allows me to feel the sense of accomplishment associated with each character separately.

Of course, that was before Trophies were bound to character.

@Morvane Why do you ask When? I would expect you have heard something other than wishful thinking. I expect that none of the achievements in WoW actually counted for something, at least ones that are shared.

Why should someone get the title for killing the mage in vAA on a character they cannot play well enough to help clear vAA? Should not happen.

You delete all other characters except one and then you can have it as an account wide achievement

If all achievements were shared then you wouldn't have to learn how to pvp on all toons. You wouldn't have to learn how to do vma or anything else worthwhile on different toons with different setups classes and so on. It would get very boring very quickly because there would be nothing at all to do.

Lets be honest about this there is no real reason why you should be able to be a champion of nirn on a specific toon without ever having completed the requirements and really in the scheme of things that is an easy one. VMA done on temp but can't get past the door on your nb....wearing the achieve on the nb would be a lie. Can't fight your way out of a wet paper bag with your dragon knight but your all cool with a sorcerer why is the dk wearing emperor title or what not. Nope do not think the titles and all should be shared.

There would be an option to split achievements between account wide and individual ones. Flawless conqueror is individual, while Master Angler could br account wide for example...

I could live with the system as is, as long as linked achievements would show my other toons. So I can get in groups for DLC dungeons with my 9th toons even if I only done the instance with 8 toons so far.

Achievements that require you to know the ins and outs of your class and for your character to be leveled and well equipped shouldn't be account-wide. I see these as a character's achievements, because you won't necessarily be able to do it on other characters.

But I see no reason for the achievements that are just a grind that takes nothing but time to not be account-wide. These I see as player's achievements, because it only requires the player's time and nothing character-related.

We unlock the importent stuff bound to achievements for the account anyway so don't see the point of it.

Some stuff is bound to skill lines (Undaunted) and this should be kept to each character. Same for the titles.

I tend to care about achievements but not for this game. I see they pop up every now and then but I only care about those that unlock something I want.

Yeah I'm all for this. If CPs/dyes/costumes/hats/pets/mounts etc all crossover with every character then I don't see why achievements should be any different. In all other games on my platform, achievements are rewarded to your account not the character. I think this only happens so that PC gamers don't feel left out. But hey.... I won't tell if you don't ZOS shush......

One thing that might make it difficult however is that the achievements are used by players to see what quests/delves they have or haven't done and skyshards/motives they haven't got. Don't see why these things couldn't be separated from each other mind.

What infuriated me about WoW was that they did all of a sudden decide to make achieves account wide. I'm talking about going through all the dungeons to get a title then they go and slice and dice up said dungeons to make them less epic, less time worth the investment.

Blizzard has fully and for all time ruined their game. They're only keeping it alive to milk cash out of people as long as they can by pandering to nostalgia while they promote their MOBA and FPS ripoffs.

Stop expecting or demanding ZOS do the same. They'll get a big enough audience by doing one thing: STICKING TO THE LORE.

What would be the motivation to play any alts if they already had everything ? I guess maybe today I feel like a NB instead of a DK maybe, but I don't think it is a good idea, maybe I want to take another toon off in a different direction work up different things, if I have everything already, I might not find the mojo to do that.. I say leave it like it is.

Account wide achievements are a great idea, unfortunately I learned that they do not intend to do this even though it is logical and would allow people to play alt anyway they want while at the same time giving an overall sense of completion and not have 2-11 alts with large gaps. Feel free to browse my discussion history if you want to see where this will go but do not necro any dead threads please.

Hopefully never. My characters are all individuals that I enjoy leveling up in their own ways, and I hate the idea of things being account-wide, including champion points and dye unlocks.

So.... most of the nays are going on and on about character individuality in a game where the only few things I can think of that aren't carried over other than achievements and the obvious are character skill points, crafting skills, Mount training etc. If you want individuality so much then let's get rid of the cp system that allows your new character to jump from level 50 to whatever the rank is of your highest character. Cross over mounts, pets, costumes, dyes, memorabilia can all go too. Ooo Akataosh forbid us to remove the banking system that allows our characters to trade with each other. Don't get why maintaining character achievements is such a big deal to yas. Oh yes I know why..... it's only acceptable if youre saving some real coin.

I am okay with the current system, a lot of the rewards are already account wide like: dye colors and collectibles. It only sucks for those hard to get achievements

But that is what I am saying. It should not be. Killing the mage in 2015 did not grant the title.

Killing the mage after vAA was added is where the title comes from and it should only be for that character. My sorc is not worthy of the title since I have not killed the mage with it.

No one can see your achievements directly. Only dyes and titles. We need only titles to be character specific, but Achivements themselves can be account wide. ZOS should make titles separate reward, not bounded to achievements and voila...everybody will be happy. At current state game is a pain for completist roleplayers. I want to have all achievements on my account, but I can't find any possible roleplay reason for my templar healer main to join Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood.
