Still no mount CC break

Why is there still no mount CC break? After years of the game being out, you'd figure there would be a CC break when being rooted, CC or knocked off your horse. In PVP a NB will hit you with agony and all you can do is sit there and allow him to burst you down; you're gap closed over and over and over until you finally fall off and you have WAIT at full stam for your character to finish the animation of getting up off the ground. I figured this would have been fixed by now.

I gotta say I agree with this one... anyone riding by a ganker on their horse is free AP because theres a forced animation of your guy slowly getting up whilst he's being beaten to death, and then the ganker will teabag you because he is obviously l33t and stuff because he can kill whats essentially an AFK player at that point.

No, leave ganking viable with all the heavy armor guys running around.

You do know you can upgrade the stamina on your horse. At 60 points you almost can't get knocked off your horse. It sucks but I vote for letting it stay. Just need to train that horse for inpenetrable skin. Lol

I'll let you in on a secret... when disoriented while on a horse, dismount THEN break free! Ta-da! TBH that took me all of 5 seconds to figure out the first time it happened to me.

Also, get mount stamina upgrades and you'll be far less susceptible to gankers knocking you off your horse.

The generally amicable yet sporadically salty magplar that may or may not have 1vXed you in Sotha Sil. Who knows?

You know that you can dismount (standard button H) when cced on your horse and then proceed to breakfree as usual?

It's not about 'ganking' it's about using a broken mechanic in the game to get kills. A night blade uses agony and you are stuck slumped over on your horse for a long time, this should not be in the game. If you have full stam and your horse is maxed you should be able to get off and fight.

and yet, they say this was the reason sneak speeds were removed, and slowed down.
looks to me like sneak speeds had nothing to do with this!
we nightblades can take down a mounted person even if we are not moving.
no one should be able to take down a person who is mounted on a horse. NO ONE!
that is just not cool and it is very angering to be hit like this when all your doing is traveling.
best in slot: is the armor, weapon, clothing look, pet, or no pet, jewelry, race, class, skill choices, amount of DPS, and skin color best fit to you and the way you wish to play and makes you feel good and performs what YOU think it should be.

worst in slot: what you read in zone chat, and forum comment, and forum thread, and you tube video, and live streamer advice, and class rep advice, and guild chat advice, and whisper told you to wear, and use for skill, and dress like, and use for weapon and armor.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying, it doesn't matter if it's maxed and you're knocked off because the spam gap closer uses all the stam so even a 60 speed/stam horse IS not immune. It's about the animation and being able to stand up or get off, not about being knocked off.

Not if you're hit by agony you CANNOT dismount.

You cannot break free, did anyone actually read the post? Have a NB friend hit you with agony and see if you can dismount before he kills you :p

Knocking someone off their horse isn't "ganking" its trolling at best, and exploiting at worst because its a broken mechanic if you are knocked off you are not able to control your character for several seconds, aka a free kill... yes you could upgrade your stamina on your horse for 60 days irl, or pay ZOS irl money to do it, or they could just make it so you can stun break after being knocked off instead of permastunned with no chance of fighting back... bad mechanic is bad, the end.

It is far from the days where nobody had any stamina on their horses so horse-ganking is something that shouldn't even really be a thing in vet-pvp. It is only if you have used too much stamina on your horse that you'll get dismounted so it is more about stamina management on your behalf rather than any complaints about the cooldown for the dismount in the first place. If you have no stamina on your horse, get used to the 5 second cooldown for standing up, if gankers will let you get that far that is. I actually run a specific skill bar when i'm on my horse so that if i have ridden long enough to actually get dismounted, i have some counters that will help me survive whatever initial burst they've fired at me.
I can't remember the last time someone successfully ganked me off my horse since i hit 60 stamina, although in general, it is a common thing on the non-vet server as a way to farm ap from "da noobs"

No, if you're hit with agony you cannot break free even if your horse is full stam, it stops you dead in your tracks and you're stuck until the effect wears off.

Look at my previous posts, perhaps read the full content, AGONY you are STUCK on the horse no matter how much stam you have.

Fossilize does this too. Full stam on horse, you will be stopped in your tracks and unable to CC break or move, unable to dismount.

Just go to Scribes channel, he has a whole slew of videos where he's doing this to mounted people. Can't post it here because of the bad language content.

Apologies for the misunderstanding - i thought this was just one example you were giving rather than the line before which was more general about being CC knocked off your horse etc. "After years of the game being out, you'd figure there would be a CC break when being rooted, CC or knocked off your horse."

I'm "lucky" enough to have had this happen to me a few times and on one occasion, the guy just did /laugh next to me and disappeared off. It is, however, far from amusing for the person it is happening to because no matter how much you button mash (one of my fav pastimes in the game) nothing will happen and it turns out you're a spectator for the duration. If i really wanted a spectator based game, i'm sure i wouldn't choose ESO.

I'm guessing this is another one of those things where someone at zos has probably seen it happen but like any business, they've already decided what they're doing for the next 3 months on the budget they have access to and this isn't going to be a part of it because its not really mainstream or highly game breaking (as yet!)
