There are tons of games that don't ever go down, ya know. The ones that also don't require internet connectivity. Maybe go play one of those until the maintenance is over? -

The truth is that you don't actually know that. Just as the previous poster doesn't actually know about the databases becoming inconsistent.
We don't know what ZOS's backend architecture is, or what is going on during their maintenance periods. Claiming to just makes you look foolish. -

Nah 1 month u think i want to play with 999 all the time. Every day 1 hour like EVE does and it would be great, but i guess it would cost more money. -

24/7 uptime and instant fallback
If the patch server is stable then you can upgrade the main server and switch.
If the patch server fails, fall back to the main server, fix and try again.

This would be silly, because the middle of the night varies for people all over the world who play ESO, when there is a maintenance, it has to be done, the game has a ridiculous amount of down time, and yes as frustrating an annoying as it is it HAS to be done. So instead of complaining I have learned to grit your teeth and bare it....and send ridiculous gifs.

Not in europe, everyone on the EU server has the middle of the night at the same time. Other games do their maintenance at 3 or 4 am in the morning too.
Also why not complain? If I order a pizza and it comes 6 hours too late, you can be sure I would complain. This game is just a company providing a service as any other. I never understood how gamers would just take customer abuse like this all the time and then even go and defend it. -

Almost all major mmo's do server maintenance weekly.. and yes server can become unstable and shut done if you do not do the maintenance... even more stable mmos then ESO do it. Maybe you should educate yourself about why and the effects of not doing it before running you mouth off... -
