What classes are pulling the best DPS in end-game vet trials?

So I have multiple characters, and while my main is a StamDK, I'm planning to gear up my other characters too and am tying to decide what to focus on first.

What classes are currently pulling the highest single target DPS?

Based on my research, here's what I've found:

1) StamDK / StamSorc
2) StamNB / Stamplar / MagPlar
3) MagDK
4) MagSorc / MagNB

Does that order look correct?

I'd appreciate a revised order then rather than just a statement. Like I said, I'm planning to gear up my other characters and just saying the order is wrong doesn't help me much

Are you sure? I haven't seen a MagSorcs pull more DPS than a StamDK. If so, do you know of a build for the MagSorc? I'll gear that up then.

I don't regularly play all of the classes and don't play stamina really at all, but of the ones I do, my magicka sorcerer does allot more damage than my magicka templar, and my magicka nightblades damage sucks

Everyone is wrong.

MagSorcs aren't pulling 40k+ dps, if they are show me.

Stamplars are still on top if the player is legitimately good enough to pull 40k+

Everybody has a different personal experience. As opposed to basing the list on YouTubers like most people will do, the following is my personal experience for pure single target. Changes a lot if it is a boss fight with add waves.

1) StamDK StamSorc
2) MagDK MagSorc MagPlar StamNB
3) MagNB

*I removed Stamplar because I haven't grouped with or even seen one in months. No idea what they can do.

i have stam sorc, dk, NB, magplar. all are about 90% BiS

For a practical "field" dps test in real trial scenario, i'd agree with your order, though my stamblade is doing more dmg than my stam dk, but its close enough for margin of error.

Thing is my stamblade is outdpsing my sorc and dk in purely single target by quite a bit. Rend, potion, and soul harvest combo is just disgusting, esp during execute phase. As soon as any adds pop up though, which they very often do, sorcs immediately gets a big advantage. By comparison, my stamblade is 3k+ over sorc in single static, but for first boss maw, stamblade hitting ~42k, sorc hitting 47k

I have just started using necropotence with willpower, 2 torugs pact swords and a maelstrom staff and have been playing with different monster sets, but kena and infernal guardian are my favourites atm

I posted my view, but it's based on seeing experienced players doing their classes. It's entirely dependent upon the player involved and their skill.

But my Magicka Nightblade stays alive a lot easier and can last all day on resources. Never played a Sorc, so can't compare those personally. I know that as Stam I had a lot harder time than if I am specced magicka, at least on NB

The three most valuable dps right now are magplars, magsorcs, and then magdk.

Magplar are an absolute dps powerhouse right now.

Magsorc is hands down the top ranged dps in game.

And magdk pulls a little more dps than magsorc while providing alot of group utility. They are invaluable to maw strats.

If you judged dps based on single target you would have raids full of stamina. When in reality all of the top raid teams run almost all magicka

YOLO was breaking 40K on manticora last patch. He recently broke 50K on non hardmode rakkhat

I don't get how a templar can give optimal dps melee... Sure, we get allot more survivalility from being in close, but I have always found that my optimal dps comes from being ranged in pve instances... I mean, what would they use? Sweeps? In which case, they are not giving optimal dps at all, as the best templar skills, and magicka dps skills that magplars can take advantage of, are ranged

How do you figure? Reflective light builds are pretty good but i have never seen one out dps a sweeping templar. Watch the video i linked

Sweeps does more damage than dark flare or force pulse plus the burning light procs are amazing and the ability to wear grothdarr makes the ranged magplar almost obsolete, I mean if I have to go ranged I will maybe chuck skoria on and go ranged but I will do more damage in melee range.

I have not quite caught up to the mag meta yet because i'm still farming gear but my magplar was already pulling numbers extremely close to stam dk last patch and running grothdarr now my numbers should be even higher .
