Whats the point of motif collecting??

yeah i collected hollowjack motif just for fun, but I really have no use for it, even though it looks cool.

I already crafted my light and medium twice born star, my hundings, julianos and tava.

Other than these sets already are replaceble by other sets now, there is very little motivation for crafting.

Crafting needs some improvement and collecting full motif needs to give you a costume of that motif.

Some people only use purple gear so Recrafting isn't really a big issue.
Others are desperately hoping for some kind of style change/ transmog system to be implemented
Some are OCD collectors/ achievement& title junkies

I like this idea a lot might be a good compromise for those nasty drop sets anything is better at this point then the system we have now. I really want to use my motifs other then looking cool when I'm not pvping or pveing(I make cp150 gear that looks the way I want when farting around town)

Limits like not being able to restyle or transmog armor have led to me living vicariously through my 'customers', who as me to make them armor in all variety of styles. =D

This was brought up quite some time back. I'm going to give the same suggestion as before. Allow the remodelling of gear. Like you need some mats + traitstone and BAM. You get the same item but it looks different. It's not difficult to implement and it would really make motif farming worthwhile. I find it ridiculous that so many nice overland sets are released but they all come in basic styles. Whats the point of getting the motif and not being able to use them?

It's just good if you like how a specific piece looks and you want it crafted.

That's the only appeal unless you farm them to sale and aren't bored with that

Well with furniture crafting on its way I'm thinking a hollowjack house? Really don't know how that will work, but if motifs are required I'll be ready
before they announced the furniture bit, I was right there with the couldn't care less bears.

Because some people like the option. And in like 3 months a full set will be 500k or more.

Achievement addict.

Also with materials available everywhere now at end tier it's easier to restyle an armour set if you want a different look. Just keep it purple until you're really set on that particular style.

Unless you're pushing for maximum DPS with a pro-raiding guild there's minimal difference between all purple and all gold.

Or possibly, only very rarely, with a fair wind, in a Crown Crate.
