Finally made it to the boss today, wiped 5 or 6 times and the was just booted for maintainence GUARANTEEING my needing to do the whole stage over. Thank you zenimax. Elder maintenance online is SUPER fun

✭✭✭✭I got my bows in a row, then a powered ice staff, followed by another bow my last 6 run. I had 0 fun doing it, nearly broke something several times because the game is so broken and sluggish, and nearly rage quit the game for the second time because of this dungeon.
I have never hated endgame so much in my life. I have cussed more playing this garbage dungeon in 6 hours than I have in 6 years.Edited by Armitas on October 4, 2016 7:20PMRetired.

✭✭✭✭✭Not to be that guy, but if this is your first clear, then you have bigger fish to fry. Round 9 stages 1-5 are some of the easiest in the arena, where as the Round 9 boss has by far the steepest learning curve of the bunch. Chances are you are going to have to redo the stage a time or two anyways. I bet the average player dies at least 50 times on the last boss, and most people dont get him down on their first session. Might as well get used to it, in a month, the part that you have to redo will take you 5-6 minutes.
Edit: For me, third time was the charm. This was about a month after launch and you had to start from the beginning. The silver lining was that my first clear ended up being a decent score back then, and after I beat him once, it never took me more than 70-80 minutes again (now more like 45-55) because I had run the whole thing multiple times. If you are serious about farming this place for weapons, welcome to the suck, you need to start practicing these stages so you can do them in your sleep.Edited by Oreyn_Bearclaw on October 4, 2016 7:25PM1 -

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if this is your first rodeo, the final boss is going to kill you 100s of times and repeating stage 9 will be the least of your concerns and - quite frankly - repeating it is probably for the best since it is important practice for what you are about to face.
I know it's frustrating. That is for DAMN sure. The maelstrom makes me hate this game on a level I didn't think was possible. I know that's how it is for most people and I know it will get better it's just super frustrating.
