Really glad theres 4 classes to choose from..

I just spent 67 hours and 60k gold getting my Sorc replacement, (after i deleted the first) up to lvl50 and geared with 160 armor and weapons, only to remember just how much i hate the class. Theres no emergency healing on par with the Templar BoL or Vigor, most of the damage skills are better suited as support, DoT, and that one single execute that doesnt kick in till 20%. I remember the only part i liked way back when was how great Hardened Ward was at keeping me alive, but then that got hit hard in a patch that now i just cant find any joy out of the class. Playing a Dragonknight was also difficult and equally painful.

It figures that the two most hated classes in the game, Stamblade and Magplar, are the two i actually love to play.

If you like survivability, I reccomend giving a stam build for sorc a try. Most fun thing in the game imo right now.

I could try respec my sorc as a stamina char and try it out, but that'd require a lot more gold that i wont have for a while. Ill keep that in mind, thanks.

You could try to respec your sorc to magtank sorc and try it out, that shouldn't require much gold

You spend 67 hours leveling up a new character when you had deleted one of the same class before and did not like it then? Unsure of the logic since I ceased enjoying the Sorc long ago, never deleted it but never planned on rolling another one.

I've been having a lot of fun on my sorc lately. the easiest class i've found so far to do vMA. And if you want BoL like heals, the twighlight matriach pet is pretty close. Hardened ward + Matriarch + necromancer set makes sorc really hard to kill at least for pve.

My first sorc was my first char with the game, made over a year ago, back when i had no idea what i was doing and thus was a horrible char and i deleted it. Now i kinda know what im doing so i tried it again. Didnt matter, still hated it.

I wanted a character that doesnt get curb stomped by everyone. Obviously that seems like a desire for "easymode" to others, but then again, im sure you have an easymode character as well if you do well with it.

Why start from scratch on the same class? I would say I love my mag/hybrid nb. Easy to do any daily, and it's my only character yet I can do any role.

My first VR16 character was a magic sorcerer. Then I found out how bad they sucked in PvP. But I kept her because she's able to do everything in crafting, and I don't yet have another character who can do everything.

My 2nd VR16 character was a stamina nightblade. Muuuch better fighter. Muuuch sneakier, too, able to go right between two bandits guarding a cave mouth, or weave between those tough baddenasties when solo-ing a group dungeon in order to get that darn book in the back of it. This character has more quest points than any of my others, and is the only one so far to rise to the top in Thieves' Guild and Dark Brotherhood.

Stopped reading at no emergency healing... Sustain with power surge. Emergency with potion, shield, dark conversion. Works well on the overload bar. Oh, is this about PvP? Competition against real players will always be exploited, which is why I don't bother in a game about having the best stuff and the correct macro.

Stamblade and Magpkar are your favorite then play your favorite.


Don't be upset when they get hit the nerf hammer in some way though, it's nothing personal to you that both of those classes are over preforming for various reasons.

@ArchMikem ...I was trying hard to come up with something positive regarding the current survivability/durability/sustainability of the magsorc - but, I got nothing for ya...I feel your pain...pve wise, no worries...in pvp land - stay close to a group, find templars and attach yourself at the hip...
