New gear now or after update 12?

I have a magsorc CP230, she has been running with cp150 blue gear for a while now: 5 julianos 3 torug's. I am eager to get her a nice purple/gold cp160 set, but I hesitate to do it before update 12 not knowing how the sets will change with this update. Is there anyone who has any advice?

Also, I am a bit of an appearance freak, so does anyone know what/if new craftable motifs will come with update 12?

Go to eso-fashion.com for a look at motifs and what they look like style wise. There used to be a better web site but i can not find it anymore.
Also eso academy has a brilliant layout of all the sets post update 12 and where to find them, and how to collect the pieces.

There are going to be all kinds of new sets & combo's int he new patch... including a couple of nice looking undaunted sets for sorcs.

Best advice is to spend the next 2 weeks before the update saving materials and tempers, running as many undaunted pledges as you can (Doesn't matter if the keys you get are bronze/silver/gold as they will all change into the same 'undaunted key' in the next update)... that way you can open the reward chests on day 1 and have a better chance of getting some good undaunted set shoulders.

Its going to be a few weeks before people know whats best.... so I'd just wait a couple of weeks & prepare..../

I'd say you can at least make it all purple. Purple tempers are really not that expensive and most people have them in mass by now. Gold gear though, I'd say wait and see what update 12 brings in the end.

@Flaminir thanks for pointing that out about the pledges. But does that mean that regardless of what key I earn (bronze/silver/gold) they will all give the same quality drops after update 12?

Correct, all silver/bronze keys in inventory when the patch drops will be buffed to gold.

Don't forget about the new Stalrihm motif (pic below) ... coming soon, but ZOS hasn't announced it for Live yet (might be a crown store exclusive).

Personally, I would spend between now and the patch hoarding mats and gold keys. For a mSorc, you are probably safe crafting stuff. I dont see there being a new 5 piece that's a must have, at least for PVE. My sorc has been running either Julianos or TBS for over a year, and I dont see that changing next patch.
