Update 9/13/2016: still after the update Major brutality is still not applying correctly or reliably even after the update for today. A updated video will soon be added to this post.

Updated: 9/24/2016 Major Brutality still not applying 100% of the time when using Igneous weapons. I've reached out to many ZOS staff and have yet received a response regarding the issue being fixed or a fix being made for the future.

Yeah unfortunately it's true, the video shows me not receiving major brutality but when I was in a group and used it I saw major brutality.

Molten Armaments is also bugged too, sometimes you won't get the buff for 20% spell power and other times it'll just show molten armaments x 2 which I think means you can potentially stack major sorcery with it.

The real question is have you not had it work when you are in combat?

Also do you have the not attack innocents onption on?

I do have attack innocents as an option and that isn't the real question but I'll answer it no it doesn't give me major brutality even if in combat. I need to be in a group for it to work.
Nonetheless I should be getting the buff regardless lol...

I just checked my mDK and it was applying the spell damage modifier.

I haven't watched your video. Where there a lot of players or friendly NPCs when you cast it?
It buffs 'all' the targets around you, in my experience if there are more than 5 targets there's a chance you won't get the buff.
Try casting it when you're alone, it should work always.

There are times in trials that it gives me the buff, looks like it depends on how close you stand to other players, I gotta test it more though.

Umm Igneous weapons major brutality still doesn't apply at all; I could careless about the magicka buff you receive as most if not all Magicka DKs rock molten armaments instead of igneous weapons in the first place.

Nope I'm wearing 5 piece hunding + 5 piece marksman (with bow it'll be 5) 1 kena 1 maelstrom. The buffs in the video show brutality is missing + I am not receiving the actual 20% modifier too only the 10% modifier from minor brutality.

Yeah I found it funny as I drew a picture with the ZOS logo and consistently head butted it (I also put peterT at the bottom of said picture).

I haven't read to see if someone has also posted the reason for this, but when I tested this ability I found that it only provides major brutality when you are either by yourself or in range of less than six others. If you were in a more densely populated area while testing it, the ability will prioritize other players before the caster. If this is a problem for you in PvE, my recommendation would be to use wpdmg/crit potions since these are required for maximizing dps anyways

IF you look at some of the videos there's one where it shows me by myself and it would not give me major brutality so that right there tells me that's not the issue.

I'll check it out, I haven't played with this since it was adjusted

Edit: noticed in your fourth clip of added clips this seemed to be the case, but since it seems you are using this for PvE purposes I would just remove it and run the potions, it's a requirement for end game

Potions shouldn't be the recommendation for end game content; skills working, should be required. This skill helps with stamina recovery (earthen heart passives) and it gives me a 38 second buff that I Do not have to consistently wait for potions to use + if I use a potion it's not like it will be ready when I absolutely need one e.g. healer dying in group content or low on health/resources in solo content. Please refrain from making suggestions as if this skill being broken shouldn't be a priority as it NEEDS to be Fixed.

At end game this skill isn't used, also potions are used on cooldown for these effects at end game is actually what I was referring to, gl tho sucks that it isn't working

Umm.. no many trial groups love having one player run this as it buffs not only the player but those around you so again that is false it's a skill many players use in trials as well as solo content so they can manage resources better thanks to the usage of potions.
Unless you have a different way to describe 'end game' because end game to me refers to trials for PvE and Cyrodiil for PvP. I will say I do not use this for PvP since I rock 2h but many stam DKs rock this if they're going tank builds i.e. DW +Shield (I know because I experience this in PvP as a palatine).

Yeah potions provide you these affects which is cool but let's say you use that potion for the damage boost, now let's throw in the occasional problems like resource management or a need for a massive health boost well too bad you just used your potion. I mean mate you gotta look at it from a stand point that uses logic, having a skill provide the buff rather than relying on a potion is 100x better and yes trials certainty use this I mean that's a ability off of many players bars as it provides both major brutality and sorcery lol...
