Anyone know how long the current crown sale items will be up for?

I want to buy up riding skills for my future alt, but dunno if I'll have time to really create her in the next couple days

I mean I could totally buy them if they weren't fuggin bind on pickup why can't crown stores be kept in an account wide 'bag' of some sort or under a tab so they're locked to your account but not your specific character >_>

They did announce the 24 hour sale on both Facebook and Twitter. Something like this they wouldn't post to the website unfortunately since it is only a quick thing

Wait, aren't riding skills a BOOK? Therefore you should be able to put it into your bank and then take it on your new character when you make her.

I thought that's how it worked.

Yep. Just like xp scrolls, they are bound to your account, not the character - Unless they have changed it?
Ive bought some while on my main & banked them for alts to use. I actually kept 2 in the bank for a future new character too.

it says bind on pickup in the store so how could you send them to the character you want since you 'pick' them up right away?

I think you can open the crate & put the scrolls into the bank. I've done this in the past.

I bought on stam sorc used 7 he was then max, I banked 3 of mine and took them out on an alt (ps4 eu)

Bind on pickup means it is account bound. All items bound to any of your characters can be traded to your Alts.
If it's bound, anyone of your characters can use it.

I actually freaked out when I got it because I thought 'use' would wastefully try to use them on my main. I contacted zos & felt like an idiot when they replied that it is a container & 'use' will open it like all other containers.

@SaraRose Um, I have zero items bound to just 1 character, only bound to account. Am I correct in guessing that you do not currently have any alt characters?

All bound items including weapons & armour are swappable between your characters. I swap a lot of my crafted & monster gear between characters, all of these items are bound. Monster gear is bind on pick up & wearing crafted gear becomes bound for example.


Side note, I definitely recommend making your alt earlier than later. Although the training scrolls will help, spending the few minutes each day to switch to the alt just for mount training will be a benefit in the long run. (I have a level 14 alt with maxed out mount waiting for his turn to explore Tamriel)

Why the hell do the send out email about sell and only have for 24 hours is that somewhat stupid i mean most people do have other thing that need to do like work, school and so on why not have those sells on weekend where most people are online and ZoS well earn even more money ^^

I've only used them on pts for guides but I was pretty sure they were bankable.

Last time I tried to bank them was when there was that pack that had some XP scrolls, riding lessons and some other stuff but I couldn't bank the riding lessons

I've just been so busy, I'm ramping up my sales revenue before OT hits and lowers prices, so my plan was to bring an alt into the world after that's occured and I have more time to not be so competitive in the market.

also you all are referring to the Black Fredas crate correct?
the books are not in a crate when you buy them alone

didn't have a clue about weapons/armor being tradeable to alts though wish I knew that before I deconstructed some monster stuff my current has no use for :'(

my goal is also to grind to 561 (or at least 500) before really making alts, so that a build can be good to go once I start and grind to 50 again.

nah, most likely they're trying to get people to use up their crowns before releasing new crown (mounts/appearance stuff mostly) content post one tameriel and the halloween stuff, a crown sale might be coming down the pipes too alongside OT, so its just them emptying out wallets before asking people to refill them :P

I think it was the Fredas special crate actually, nice memory.

Bummer about your monster gear. Its cool trying different sets on different setups. But yeah, you can bank & swap what you want. If you create training traited sets for leveling to L50, keep them for your next alt so you dont have to remake them. I have them at L4, L16, L28 & L40.

You'll find alliance questing pretty easy with all that CP
Ive made all bar 1 alt in advance to train the mounts ready. Having temporary mules doesnt hurt either.

and yeah, I'm working hard at mastering my traits to craft my alts stuff (specially training gear)
unfortunately all my old gear wouldn't be applicable for my alt in the future
as my mag dk currently is a heavy armor wearer, and my alt will likely be medium and a stamina user of some kind (undecided)

right now I'm at 305CP, still got plenty of grind to go <_< glad I only gotta do it once really
also I knew the crate thing cuz I googled threads on this after making it lol

I have the crafting bag as well but mules still have a place for me. I have 9 toons overall, 6 at L50. The bank cant hold all my extra gear sets, IC trophies, treasure maps etc etc.
I deposit drops for the alts to level crafts so I also need 100 minimum spare spots in my bank to do that. I only do it because of levelled nodes so I also hate skyshards because of this lol


I use light & medium for pre 50 then worry about it when hit 50. My next toon will wear heavy when L50 but cant decide race let alone name lol.
So yeah, I do understand your creation dilemma
