They pretty much exist to be a "trade cartel" along with a parent guild. However, unlike other "trade cartels" such as ESE and Etheral Traders, their sole goal appears to be gouging the prices of items to create inflation and skewing the data the addons like Master Merchant collect. As it is, I think Tempering Alloys have skyrocketed to about 8-8.5k in the last week alone which is bleeding through nearly every guild out there. Columbine was sitting about 350-400g a piece until a few weeks ago when it suddenly shot up to 550-700g a piece. Though them doing this is actually causing me and my guild to have good business mainly because we tend to stick to the firmer set prices, and I tend to sell below the price MM gives me meaning my stuff sells a lot faster in a location that doesn't have nearly the same amount of traffic as somewhere like Mournhold and Rawl'kha have.
I remember when that guild was first getting started, and checked their vendor pretty frequently cause they had some good stuff.
no more
after this week and that dumb "angry unicorn too" crap I don't check any of the guilds.
ESE, ETU, even Akaviri back in the day. all the secondary and tertiary guilds are/were legitimate guilds placed in the various alliances so members could sell in every alliance.
not this troll extra guild with no/few items taking up spots and controlling the market.

Yeah, the guild went downhill pretty quickly after the founder left. I was in there initially but left soon after as nothing I had was selling and they couldn't hold a location at the time which was detrimental when they had a "10k sales" minimum. I think most of the people I joined with left and joined another guild which was quite prominent and established.

If they are selling gold mats at 10k then that's 100k for a upgrade . Only a fool would waste his gold this way when that weapon is probably being sold already at gold for around 50k . A few more searches and you save 50k .
A trade union only works if you can beat your competition , not false inflate market prices . Any bozo that took a 8th grade economics class knows this .

yeah I have not even seen the original guild in a while and I have gone pretty out of the way recently to try and find some deals.
What a name...
Seriously trading guilds making multiple versions just to manipulate market prices are getting out of hand. ZOS needs to introduce some market price control.
I dont understand. Whats the point of this whole monopoly? Some kind of sick fun?

Xbox NA tempering alloys are going for about 21k +. With some saying to be around 30k+ when the next update is released.

We get it. The XB1 economy is stuffed entirely. Just keep in mind that we have tools to see the average price is where you don't and when something suddenly goes up with no real reason to have done so, it's usually traceable. Also, PC players tend to have more gold because our economies are far more stable than the console ones but nevertheless, 8.5k for tempering alloys is ridiculous at this stage of the game. First few months after guild traders were introduced maybe it would be understandable but not 2 years later. If anything they should be around the 5-7k mark

That's absolutely ridiculous. Completely ridiculous. But, ZOS has themselves to blame for: Allowing PC to console transferring, exploits to go unchecked and unresolved for prolonged periods of time, and not setting a form of appropriate restrictions on pricing. PS4-NA isn't too far behind, with tempering alloys selling for 16k-18k in traders. While in-person they go for 13k-14k.
I really hope ZOS steps in, and immediately. This has gone on for far too long.
