Question about higher level player helping/grouping with low level player.

Hey everyone,
I've recently started playing (around 5 or so weeks ago) and I'm level 37 now. My wife has now decided to join me and start playing.
Do i have to roll a new character to be able to group and play with her or can i bring my lvl 37 character and play with her? I don't mind not getting XP/drops myself, i mainly want to play with her character until she gets it to my level and then we can start experiencing stuff at the same level. I basically just don't feel like rolling a new character...
Can anyone shed some light as to how this all works? Please spare no details, this is all new to me

One area where you will have a problem is where certain areas change after you quested in them - currently you will not be able to assist someone who has not yet done them. Agree scaled zones will be best for now but think once we have One Tamriel this will be less of an problem as can explore whole world. Any one on PTS tested to see if you can help someone in areas you have finished or are you still in a different instance?PAWS (Positively Against Wrip-off Stuff) - Say No to Crown Crates! -
once tamriel one is live level shouldnt matter when leveling together, supposed to go live in october i think.
if you dont want to wait, starting a new character is always fun, try a different faction so you dont repeat any content you just played. -
Went hunting - it be in October - just does not say whenOne Tamriel arrives with Update 12 on the PTS early next week and live this October, and ESO will never be the same.
