Why is this the only bethesda rpg without cannibalism?

A huge draw to their games has always been the option to play as a complete psycho. It's been in every elderscrolls game and the fallout franchise so it's absence is missed. Drinking blood is lame I want to eat limbs.

lol @ playing a bosmer. Terrible racials aside they look and sound ridiculous.
As for werewolves anyone who has to turn into another species just to eat someone isn't cut out for cannibalism.

Good question. Unless my memory fails me - which is a possibility -, I don't think there's any quest or zone with a "cannibalism" issue.
Fill the gap ZOS ! Where's Namira ?

Well I do think they should add a skill line for it. That gives you the abilty to eat a corpse but gives bonus health regen/magicka regen and bonus stamina regen for fifteen minutes if the corpse you eat happens to be your own race. As well as temp bonuses to health stamina and magicka pool for eatting a corpse. If your a vampire they can add a perk that gives bonus damage for feeding on corpses while a vampire This will give also give a special feeding animation bending down and biting into the corpse then drinking the blood but after you can then eat the corpse again with the normal cannibalism animation. So they can make this count for vampirism feeding and canibalism. I would like to see this.

There is ONE quest in a public dungeon that's entirely focused on said forbidden meat. =P

Care to help me refresh my memories please ?

    @Wow and @Synfaer : thank you !

Now that you mention it yes I remember ! (Had not noticed the "Hannibal Lector" thing, good catch ZOS ! :D )

It had not "ticked" because those actually ate human flesh to survive, it was not linked to a preference, a cult or an addiction. I would still like to see it addressed as a "lifestyle" in ESO. Not so much as a skill line for our characters though.

Everytime I see an Argonian tail I become hungry all of the sudden. I wonder what their tails taste like? Don't they regrow them after a while?

There would need to be a drawback for balance, unless you're suggesting that every player should be a cannibal, which is both utterly preposterous and extremely gross and I want no part of it. Just like with Vampires and Werewolves there needs to be something sacrificed for whatever is gained through cannibalism or else anyone not being a cannibal will be gimping themselves, and there's no part of that which is anything close to okay. You guys can be psychos if you want but leave the rest of us with no interest out of it.

You think being a werewolf or a vampire is less "psycho" than being a cannibal ?

(I agree with the rest of your post though : should it be implemented as a skill line, there should be a drawback somewhere).

You get a weakness to poisons when in WW form. And no benefits if you don't have the WW ultimate slotted in your active bar

They're kind of psycho I guess but they're still very different, they're a disease that makes you into a different species basically with different dietary requirements, they need to eat people but cannibals just want to for the fun of it, completely different. I'm also not really interested in being either of those, never have been and I don't imagine I ever will, but I'm not as against it as I am against being a cannibal, mainly I just don't think any of my characters would benefit enough to outweigh the detractors. I like my builds, and especially being all Tanks I can't afford to have reduced health recovery and increased fire damage taken, and Werewolves don't seem terribly compelling either, I like my builds and don't want to replace my abilities with werewolf abilities.

No cannibalism in Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout or Fallout 2. It is present in Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 4 and Skyrim.
So if anything, it is part of a (Bethesda's) Fallout franchise, and in the Elder Scrolls series (with the exception of Skyrim ) it only appears as lore or as rumor/curio, just like in ESO.

With that said, I wouldn't mind the inclusion of cannibalism (emote is fine too) to ESO; whatever helps with roleplay/immersion.
