Guards reflecting DW ult instantly?

I was fighting guards and I had one of those eclipse bubbles on me. I used thrive in chaos ultimate and died instantly upon activation... not sure what just happened.

    If an AoE attack hits 1 target, it is technically single-target and Eclipse reflects it! It may also force all ticks to occur instantly.

    This should be a bug as it works fine with DBoS.

    Nope, templar's Eclipse can't reflect it. But npc's Eclipse use old mechanic of unnerfed Eclipse that back at time could reflect ultimates and all melee attacks.

    Is that why I'm always using Dawnbreaker on myself? Those honor guards can be brutal.
    The generally amicable yet sporadically salty magplar that may or may not have 1vXed you in Sotha Sil. Who knows?

    Same thing happening to axe bleed.

    Last night I used this on a guard and killed everyone in my group. Everyone else had different damages sources shown, but all were ~200k damage, and it all happened instantly when I used the ultimate.

    Lol, i think everybody has rekt themselves in those damn bubbles at least once if not more, especially if laggy and the bubble doesn't even render

    What I find a joke is how you can fire a projectile at the target from quite some distance away. Halfway through the trip the target places the eclipse on you, instantly the projectiles teleports from outside the eclipse, right into your face.

    LOGIC.
    My ping is higher than your resource recovery...
