That's awesome. I really like the idea of searching for lost items could actually trigger a boss like that. Too cool.

If the game wasn't so **** cartoony I would probably be still playing it. Then again, you can only stand there and cast skills for so long. I never was that big of a fan of their battle mechanics. Not being able to control when your character blocked was a real buzz kill.

I remember the live events from SWG, they were fun when Darth Vader would arrive, LOTOR had a few that were fun, I will admit ZOS seems to lack imagination, plus I doubt they have the staff for events.

You guys are forgetting one important thing, WoW devs had over a year to come up with that stuff leaving the game without a single update for a year...

So ask yourself, are you willing to go for a year without a single update?

    We already did once.

I'm always afraid when someone mentions Blizzard, because it is also the most casual (in the worst of that word) focused company and it is not always something good they do, but because they are successful, companies have tendency to copy the worst from them (like the chestboxes form their new MOBA - I forgot the name), they put that in inappriate situations, hoping it will make them money, but completely miss the reason WHY they were successful, they just want their money.
Btw. quite often Blizzard copy all the nice ideas of players, rejected by other companies and implement them into their games and it has success...

Events would be good. But as far as copying something another game does, they should stop with just the events. WoW copied a lot of things from other games, particularly from its leading competitor at the time it was released, only it did it in a sort of cartoony watered down paint by numbers way.

I like the idea of events but as long as its not 'Wowified' and instead done the elder scrolls way.

Ultima Online back in the day was the King of Server-wide events.
Origin employees would actually take part in RP with guilds and such and create 'quests' for them to do...and give rewards for completing them.
(UO at that time didn't have quests in the way ESO or WoW does, it was just a wide-open world with mobs.)

I'd rather take the quarterly DLC updates than the nearly half a year of drought, even if it has surprises like this.

But would love for secret bosses to be hidden - put a WB behind some zone secrets.

Something something because ZOS are awful.

Am I doing it right?? ;)

They are already, and may i add, finally adding in Holiday events. One thing at a time.

I would, however, rather ZOS doesn't do things like WoW, because then we would have awful, cartoony graphics, the least inspired quests I have ever played through, nonsensical time jumps and alternate realities that completely butcher the lore, and a really (mostly) toxic playerbase.

It would be funny to see in Cyrodil. Add about 10 wandering trials difficulty bosses that break into keeps and chase scrolls and hold them until a good coordinated team of more than 12 sustained dps kill them and they respawn and do it again. The burst builds would be useless, lol

As level 50's we agroed and dragged Stitches about 100 yards outside the Stormwind gate once and assisted more like corralling it to make an event for the level 10's and 20's in the area. A mod came by and was amazed at the fun people were having and had no problem with it. Hundreds of level 10-15's were slaughtered in the process but was a blast to see the unexpected.

ZOS created great graphics for landscape and characters, also for weapons, gear and customes, mobs, bosses and dungeons, and that's enough for me. WOW graphics, all of them, stink 100%.

And you forgot interacting with children. I know people under 18 play ESO, but at least they have to hide it or risk being banned. So just in general I find the ESO player base way more mature than WOW. Yes, there are still a lot of immature people of all ages that play the game, but at least they aren't going through puberty, lmao.

I'm an adult and I like interacting with adults. If I wanted to interact with children I'd be a school teacher lol. Or have another batch of my own. Been there done that bought the T-shirt.
