Because of creative things like this Blizzard owns.

Because of the creativeness of Blizzard and lack of creativeness of other studios,on creating epic memorable community events like this, its why,in part,no other studio has got the numbers and fame Blizzard have.

Please ZOS,im not saying to copy, but be more creative in creating memorable events for ESO.One ingredient for the recipe im sure about is world wide event that involves all players in the game.

Look at this comment "lol that's awesome, I may not play MMOs but stuff like this is why I will always be fascinated by them, you simply can't do stuff like this in any other genre."

Dont you want gamers making comments like this about your game?

And here is of what I'm talking about.

http://uk.ign.com/articles/2016/09/08/world-of-warcraft-players-go-looking-for-secrets-accidentally-unleash-world-eating-boss

And before WoW hate towards me start.I dont play WoW.Last time I played it was like 8 years ago.But apart from the boring old combat system,I admire that game because things like that news I posted.

Common ZOS,create memorable community wide events. No single player crap where you dont have players by your side to share the excitement with.

Lets make ESO better than it is.

Indeed, it would be awesome to have a event of that proportion! Tho, this is casual-solo scrolls online, people will find away to complain because they never had a chance to participate because since they work, study etc etc.
“Kings of the land and the sky we are; proud gryphons.” Stalker stands, the epitome of pride. Naked and muscular, his wings widen and his feet dig in as if he alone holds down the earth and supports the heavens, keeping the two ever separate.”

ZOS spent all there money on lip synced dialog and voice acting I highly doubt they can afford to pay a team to make something this creative.

Im pretty sure that with the amount of players WoW have, there is all kind of players in that game too, casuals and hardcore, still that dont stop Blizz for making this kind of epic events.

I never played WoW nor do I intend to, but I agree that that does sound pretty damn cool, but I'm afraid Zeni is too busy pretending to fix bugs and designing crown store items to do anything like that.

I'm always afraid when someone mentions Blizzard, because it is also the most casual (in the worst of that word) focused company and it is not always something good they do, but because they are successful, companies have tendency to copy the worst from them (like the chestboxes form their new MOBA - I forgot the name), they put that in inappriate situations, hoping it will make them money, but completely miss the reason WHY they were successful, they just want their money.
Btw. quite often Blizzard copy all the nice ideas of players, rejected by other companies and implement them into their games and it has success...

I was playing WOW about 10 years ago when a huge dragon thing turned up in Stormwind and killed everything, including the king. To say it was fun was an understatement. Chat was mental and players were coming from everywhere trying to kill the thing

we have a version of this monster in our game though...

    every day in the sewers you will find that 1 good player (name varies depending on platform, server, campaign time of day) with tens of thousands of telvar, wearing imperial physique wandering round crushing all in their path;
until the call to arms occurs and they get zerged..... sadly this is not always enough!

Even if they could, the coders they employ or outsource the implementation to (whichever the case may be) wouldn't be able to make it work without the boss rendering upside down and causing zone wide 2 second ability lag/delay.

Unfortunately it is all decided upstairs. Dev team may be dying to make all the stuff we ask for possible, but they have to take it up the ladder. And people there are all about finance mostly. It's all risk vs return. And no one can promise them more subs or sales should they implement what we ask for.

That was not a event created by blizzard but an exploit where players kite a dragon from another zone all the way to that city.

But back to the topic.I remember another memorable event where a new raid released but to have access to that raid all players had the opportunity to contribute resources for a massive attack on the zone with the goal to reach the raid entrance. The massive attack lasted like a week (the more players participating in the event the faster the goal can be reached)

Another memorable event and it has the same ingredient, worldwide event(even the opposing faction was contributing to the attack) with all players involved in it

And I thing with the huge lore ESO have there is enough material to create this kind of event..

That's the thing...They have just about the best IP going imo (along with SWTOR- another really great IP that somehow the devs involved have managed to turn into a trainwreck) and just seem to have missed the boat on all kinds of possibilities.

How long did it take them to get Thieves Guild and dark Brotherhood into the game in their current incarnations? Just an example of how the game never seems to know where it's going or how to get there.

I hope that with the upcoming season events ZOS get enough experience to add this kind of epic event we are talking here once in a while. The massive zone attack that I just mentioned above was just an introduction for a new raid they added. What a *** awesome introduction it was.People still talk about that event.

Put those kind of event in your to do list ZOS.

Im pretty sure ZOS decide what can be datamined.I even think that data that get mined its left there on purpose as a teaser of what is coming next.

ZOS is too busy giving away $1M USD, and reskinning mounts my boy. I apologize to say, but something like that will never happen in ESO. ZOS doesn't have the resources to create something of such a scale and quality, in my opinion.

So blizz basically had a raid level+ world boss locked behind a secret quest line which was required to trigger it. Hmmm I think zos are perfectly capable of that level of epic but I'm not sure the tech could cope with all Tamriel heading out to fight it.

You guys are forgetting one important thing, WoW devs had over a year to come up with that stuff leaving the game without a single update for a year...

So ask yourself, are you willing to go for a year without a single update?
