Another, HELP ME ON VET MAELSTROM.

Hey all,

I've been dipping in and out of vet maelstrom for about a month. Learning the mechanics etc, I've finally find my self on stage 9. The only real problems I've encountered was stage 5. I try and not stay in too long cause it bores me after X amount of time.

So large 9, round 5; ash Titan. I just can't seem to get pass this round. I'm a Stam sorc (if you can't beat em, join em). 531cp, DW and bow/2h. I run twice born with crit chance and (controversially) the warrior (weapon damage). 4 mulkouldin, 3 agility.

On DW - bloodfirst, vigor, shuffle, rearming trap, and BA. Flawless

Bow- poison inj, crit surge, caltrops, BA and dark con ult abs field.

Is there anything any one can help, I've tried catching 3 gold ghost but die before I can grab the 3rd. Cp set up is pretty standerd.

40k Stam, 4K Wd. 900 recovery.

First off, good man for taking a break when frustrated.
Second, drop Warrior Mundus and go for Shadow. The NPCs in VMA have no Crit Resistance so you want to hit them full power.
I'm a leaderboard guy and have Flawless on two toons, and I still struggle with this stupid guy. Here's what I do.
1. Kill the Daedroth first. (he spawns next to the Power Sigil)
2. Kill the Nightblade in conjunction with the Daedroth using Hail and Caltrops.
3. While the Titan flies in, grab the Power Sigil and Defense Sigil IN THAT ORDER so the reflect projectiles stays up a few seconds longer.
4. When the Titan lands, he won't be able to hit right away. Use this time to drop Hail, Caltrops. When he starts to attack, use Dawnbreaker.
5. Begin spamming Bloodthirst and whatever that first skill was. Weave medium attacks with this.

Have you tried grabbing some of the sigils? I play vma on my magplar (thank god for the self-heals) and i take the dmg-sigil when facing the ashtitat in order to burst him down before the extra adds spawn, if that doesn´t work i also grab the defensive sigil rune at the same time (I´m not one of those who really care about the score in vma, only do it for the weapons)

1. Right before the Ash titan appears, grab the Offensive Sigil.
2. Make sure to drop all your ground AOE (Caltrops, Volley.) where he will spawn.
3. Make sure to keep Poison Injection on him at all time.
4. Take the Defensive Sigil right before the first wave of adds spawns. (By first wave I mean the first wave after the Titan has spawned)... so DPS him while being close to that sigil. It's right of the Offensive one.
5. Keep DPS'ing the Titan.. the Defensive Sigil is enough to protect you from the adds.
6. Once you killed the Titan. Focus on Ads. Grab the Healing sigil.

As other mentioned, you should definitely be using the Shadow with the Thief mundus, since you are using TBS.

You can keep 2 gold ghost from the previous round (just make sure you don't grab the third one... or else you only have a few seconds to do that explosion.)

I don't really care for gold ghost though.. because when fighting the Ash Titan, you don't really have time to grab all 3 of them.
It's more important that you stay close to that Defensive Sigil for when the first wave spawns.

Great advice. I've only used the sigs on round 9. It's just the adds and the damage so will try tonight.

Finally completed vet maelstrom. Thanks for the advice. The lag is real comrades. Ice staff for my troubles, humph, now I go again.
