Zone Transitions in OT.

I've asked for tiny little things like this before and nothing has become of it. However I assumed One Tamriel and scaling all players so they could go to all zones without Level Restrictions would be the perfect opportunity for it.

Here I am talking about opening up the world by creating more ways to go between zones rather than a single path that takes you to Zone A then Zone B then Zone C etc. I am majorly disappointing that ZOS have left the world how it is in the change to OT and have added nothing to allow players to go between zones more freely. Instead we're still stuck with this same 1 large path that connects each zone.

This made sense with Levels being in the game as you progress through Zone to Zone, but now it annoys me as players should be able to travel between areas freely yet they can't, they still have to follow the path, which makes the game seem just as linear as before, despite the removal of Level Restrictions.

All I am asking for is tiny little paths like these (Red Lines):

These mean that zones don't feel as confined or Linear as you move through them, as it gives the player the freedom to choose where to go. Removing Level restrictions means nothing if you still progress through the world in the exact same Linear manner.

I understand that this is only a very small minor thing but I believe it would make a Huge difference to the feeling of the world and the transition of it being Linear to it being open.

    Agreed....also it seems we will have to take boats to travel continents or factions so this should apply to that as well.

    Maybe that changed but going off a dev comments a few weeks back.

    Yeah, you can only get to the new Alliance Zones via Boats in the Starting Cities. Personally I wish they would add paths through Cyrodiil that take you to your Home Campaign, linking into Craglorn, The Rift and Reapers March and Craglorn so you could literally walk across the world.

    Forget paths, implement flying mounts and fly to the next zone however you please :p

    Problem is, when flying your mount will smash straight into those Invisible Walls.

    This is true indeed. They could implement tiny holes for us to get through. Lol


    On topic, I would like to see more routes opened up too. It would make the transition between zones by land or mount much more seamless, and essentially more enjoyable.
