5/6 Provisioning, but Writs are for Coldharbour... why?

Hey everyone, I am 5/6 provisioning with veteran status on my character and the writs are sending me to Coldharbour, not Craglorn. Did Zenimax abolish the provisioning writs for Craglorn? I am confused as to why this is happening. 5/6 provisioning lets me do recipes up to CP50.

Craglorn is 6/6, I would expect. If you have access to orsinium then you'd go there.

Did you finish the main quest portion of Coldharbour? Or else, did you talked to the NPC that ports you to Craglorn for the first time?

AFAIK, you can only drop writs in Craglorn once you get there "legally" by following the quest, even if you're above level and have already visited the zone.

    Is your character non-vet?

Minimum character level to receive the initial Craglorn stargazers quest is 50.

5/6 is coldharbour even if you've done every quest. It's a real pain if you want a craglorn writ character. My guess is that it is that way because there are only 6 levels of improvement instead of 10.

That's the problem. I do not want to go to Orsinium because I do writs in Craglorn already for blacksmithing.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Care to explain why I am being forced to do a writ in a zone I do not want to be in?

If you don't want to do Prov Writs in Coldharbor, set your recipe level to 6. It has been this way since game Craglorn came out.

Of course, if you have Orsinium, your going to go to Wrothgar to drop the items off for Recipe L6.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

You're actually lucky to be turning in in Coldharbour; I have a character that turns in Enchanting (7/10) in Craglorn, Alchemy (7/8) in Craglorn, and when I raised my Provisioning to 5/6, stayed in Malabal Tor, doing the exact same recipes as 4/6. Been like this for 2 months.

Must we continue to ask? Can we PLEASE turn in writs where we wish? What's the difference? Maybe with One Tamriel?

It does seem to be so darn Cryptic with no real reason why.

Crag has the Nirn, and used to have that extra Aspect chance at a Kuta until that all changes and it's just mice to easily understand why and where you will be handing in all the writs.

Hand in in Wrothgar has been a nightmare from the beginning with the Shatiul wayshrine a must plus the last 4-6 weeks the risk of locking a room in a crash loop. Unsub is all I can think of to keep out of Wrothgar, but I dont want to unsub bar that reason!

Turning them in anywhere would be great. Auridon is an easy place to do them for me with access to all the stations I need in one smaller area and writ drop off right down the road. Closer together than Elden root too. I think they don't know how to do code so that you can turn in a writ at any of the set locations and get back the equal for it. Or maybe they thought it would be easier for players in set that zone to go to that place, but the reality is that most players don't level their (or all their) crafts equally on par with the level they are at. Some do crafts after they hit 50. Some of them end up leveling fast on a toon they have after their main so they have more mats to blow through it faster. So now they have to run to multiple locations to drop off writs. Kind of a nuisance. Would be nice to just drop them all off at one place and X writ gets to pull from X writ reward group no matter the location.

When OT comes out this would be more logical because the same resources will spawn in every zone.

Provisioning writs at 6/6 WERE done in Craglorn (and still are with no dlc access), but once Wrothgar went live, all 6/6 prov writs went there. The only way I know to access Craglorn prov writs is to unsub. I am not sure you CAN get back there if you actually purchased the Orsinium DLC. The simple fix would be to add another point to provisioning to compensate, but I don't see that happening. :(

Of course, if you have Orsinium, your going to go to Wrothgar to drop the items off for Recipe L6.

I don't think you understand. There were Craglorn writs. I want to do THOSE writs. I do not want to do Wrothgar and I do not want to do Orsinium writs. I want to do Craglorn writs. Why can't I do them? Do I have to unsub my freaking DLC to DO THEM?

@ZOS_GinaBruno Can you guys please, PLEASE, please do things that make sense. I want to be able to do craglorn writs if i want to do craglorn writs. I mean, really. I don't want to do Coldharbour writs and I do not want to do Wrothgar writs. I want do do Craglorn writs. The ones in Belkarth.

What I'm reading is that you want the survey rewards for Craglorn, so you can collect survey materials and farm nirn at the same time, without having to make a special nirn-farming trip to a zone you would otherwise have no reason to be in.

I put my skill points in the appropriate areas to do writs for Craglorn and one of them is not sending me there. The system is broken in this regard. Whatever my purpose is only concerns me. Why people attempt to presume and make sense dictating my existence in a game's region is most unfledged.

So... you're deliberately limiting your progress in certain crafts, just so you can do them in Craglorn?

You're absolutely right - I could not presume to understand why anyone would do this. :|

@Miszou Not sure what is so hard to understand for you. I have a character devoted to craglorn writs because the surveys have the best chance at getting nirn (compared to just random node farming) and because I don't want to burn through all my v15-16 mats so fast.

If you don't want to do Prov Writs in Coldharbor, set your recipe level to 6. It has been this way since game Craglorn came out.

Which is exactly what I said, but apparently I'm wrong.... :|

5/6 has always been CH. This isn't new, and this hadn't been changed. 6/6 is either Crag (no DLC) or Wrothgar (DLC). You have no choice in the matter. There are no surveys involved, so the only difference is the location for turn-in and the level of the recipe rewards.

That said, since we can pick up writs anywhere, it makes sense that we should be able to turn them in anywhere.
