I'm brazilian myself, but I feel embarassed when my people makes a online petition asking for ZOS to "reduce our latency".

✭yup, i notice BRs doing the same on other mmos such as tera and swtor. I have some friends who are BR but they are not one of those who mark them with BR in the name (never understood that) and in my years (1999 on ward) i have never met more rude people then those who mark them self. I have found the ones who do not put BR in the name tend to me a lot nicer.Sadly i have also seen some people from america wanting better FPS, they seem to lack the understanding that that computer they got 3+ years ago is not top of the line anymore lol.IGN: Ki'rah

It's very close to the truth, not hating on Brazilians or anything, but they truly were a nightmare in that game, they made you feel like a minority and raged and killed you for not speaking their language, then stalked you and kept killstealing for ages.Sometimes, I dream about...cheese...

Edit: Actually, let me explain so that it doesn't sound like I'm just being nasty. Gaming is seen in Brazil as something extremely childish. Yes, things have been changing on the last few years, but it is not a hobby that is seen like something an adult should be enjoying. Therefore, a big chunk of the Brazilian gamers are kids. Like, really young kids. They don't know how to behave online, they have no limits, and they are LOUD. Like, really loud. Obviously, there are plenty of awesome Brazilian gamers, but the kids just ruin the Brazilian servers for me. Totalitarian✭✭✭✭✭There are both technological and physical limits to computing which you simply can't get by.
I guess hold on until quantum entanglement can be used to transmit information, oh, and that in and of itself is a physical limit that we're trying to crack.
I remember League of Legends had latency issues on the East Coast of North America. The developers ended up cutting deals of some kind with ISPs, and even with that, they ended up moving the server to a more central location.
So latency isn't an easy problem to solve, sadly. It'd be great if we could all play with infinitesimal ping; maybe in the future though.PC NA CP 531+
