Can the +10% xp ESO Plus boost be disabled?

I was wondering if the 10 percent xp boost you get for being an eso+ member can be disabled? I am already out leveling zones and I am only level 7.

I find that you overlevel your first two zones, but you even out or underlevel the later ones.

Also, there's no way to turn the exp bonus off.

I wouldn't worry about it. In a couple of months, overlevelling will be a thing of the past. (As will being able to level up to make content easier, unfortunately.)

If you stick with the main quest line in each zone, you'll stay at or slightly below level. That's how I did my latest alt. I also did delves, skyshards, WB, and dolmens. I hit level 50 (and CP160) just as I tackled Molag Bal for main quest. Limiting how many quests you complete is one way to slow leveling with the 10% ESO bonus.

I won't sub again until I can disable that. Then again I'm just fine with crowns.

This was a big problem for me too while I was leveling up. What makes it worse is after you out-level the mobs by a certain amount they even stop dropping you loot. But boy do they still attack you. So basically you end up having to constantly kill weak annoyances who don't even bother to drop you anything. It definitely hurt the experience and made me feel rushed, which isn't something you want to be in a huge beautiful world like Tamriel with so much to explore.

The good news is once you beat Molag Bal and start doing the other factions while gaining champion points you don't have to worry about this anymore.

I always used to overlevel to make things easier. I guess with One Tamriel I will be forced to L2P and make a better build. Ugh! But I guess that's a good thing? LOL ;)

Yeah, me too. Doesn't help the "play how you want to play" mentality much. Once everything is scaled, there will be builds that just "don't work", when previously they would work if you overlevelled a bit. I found this out when I tried to do Imperial City on PTS. Fights that I could just about manage at-level in the static zones were not working in the scaled zones (despite the fact that scaling is supposed to generate an at-level equivalent).

Yeah, I liked the freedom on my first character, I had no idea what I was doing, but it was a unique build, and even if I was a bit squishy, I had fun! Now for end-game content I've had to rethink everything and resort to min/maxing and such.

This problem will go away with One Tamriel, when we will all be battle-level scaled like it is in DLCs. You can quest then wherever you want and quests will no longer get outleveled.

Yes and no - I found that my hybrid builds are a lot more viable in a battle-leveled zone - but at the same time, the number of enemies, which I can just one-shoot is far less than before. So the tactics are a bit different there and food and beverages are more of a requirement than in normal zones and one or the other supportive potion is good to have as well. I find it more interesting to play battle-leveled, even it requires slightly more thought about what you are actually doing - what is good.

one good effect of it - you will learn to not stand in red anymore - in normal zones you can do that sometimes, but in battle-leveled zones, you really really want to avoid to stand in red.
