Could TESO be Nearing the end of the Line?

I remember when Tiger Woods Online had similar behavior (long patches, loss of adequate game support, seemed like one person was responsible for everything TWO) and a few days later...BOOM! Nice knowing you.

I certainly hope I am 100% wrong as I (generally) like the direction the game is going for a solo player like me.

Bruh, the game is getting popular and popular, this game will become the new wow soon.
Once they implement battlegrounds for pvp, alot of players will come back. I don't see this game dying anytime soon.

Using steam data alone spikes that don't really last and a lot of people exiting probably due to these terrible patches, updates and maintenance. It appears to cycle largely by college semesters ending and starting.

MANY of us pre-date Steam as well for ESO. I don't think this data can be used as a benchmark.

I don't really know what 'this mad' means but 13 hour maintenance on a weekly basis does kind of suck. Especially when it doesn't really fix things and people still experience issues

I don't know about it nearing the end of it's life. I came back 2 months ago since not playing back at launch and brought people with me. I love this game. Sure, it has some serious problems regarding its MMO features and external problems like maint times and it does not seem like there's much of any response on these forums for player feedback. However, all in all, I love the game itself. Those I've brought also love the game. Most of the updates also seem to be making this game better by leaps and bounds: standardizing endgame loot in vet dungeons, one Tamriel (at least for the openness to play with everyone), and the recent launch in Japan.

So, I would definitely disagree this game seems to be nearing the end of its life. If you were to ask me, it seems more like it's having a relaunch.

I can pick up 150,000 gold in one weekend selling over priced rare recipes, the game population is doing just fine.

It's got 2-3 years left before the servers go down, pretty typical for any MMO that doesn't receive overwhelmingly positive feedback. Look at Matrix Online, it'slike ESO in that it's also an MMO attached to a well-known franchise that launched to so-so reviews, and it lasted 5 years.

The game as we knew it has died TESO is long gone...so yes but the new birth since Tam Unlimited has now brought about One Tamriel which some would describe as F2P version that's not free with most of the challenging things removed other than group content and MSA.

I think ESO just needs a few tweaks and additions like actual Battlegrounds. Cyrodiil just isn't working like intended. They could fix the balance too.... And break the Templar healer or GTFO mentality for endgame content by adding healing stuff to other classes to be on par with temps.

Stop talking nosense. 3 of the last 4 updades were solo oriented. They also revamping craglorn to be solo friendly. If TESO ever going to fail its because of this casual-solo focus.

^^ This there are annoyingly large numbers of players in the DC starter zones on PC-EU

Removal of faction boundaries, like a solo rpg
Devs making it really hard to group by not fixing the group finder.
Cyrodiil is still a mess
Craglorn set up for solo play
Recent additions of db and tg set up for solo play

If we can avoid F2P and B2W there is hope this will last long years . I try to stay positive . Some things being added are bad signs yes but the game I love .

The game's population is actually healthy. Eso's twitch/youtube community is higher than its competitor Wildstar. Which gets me thinking. Eso despite its bugs and lack of structered pvp the community is healthy. Compared to its competitor which had all the basic mmo features, structered pvp, and raids. Wildstar is suffering even though its f2p. It proves something that ESO has something going for it.

The problem is, those are the STARTER zones... but when you start moving beyond that, to other higher zones, that you begin to see less and less people. So it makes a person wonder how many of those players are sticking around beyond a certain point and how many are current players creating alts (I do this all the time). But I do know when I get up into higher zones the population becomes less and less... but yes, the starter zones are booming.

I really doubt it, we've had an incredibly strong string of DLC's, there's about to be a HUGE QoL base-game update bringing in some of the most sought-after changes, including dueling, holidays, and open world, and I frankly don't see an end in sight. I am absolutely devastated regarding the gambling boxes and can already see a majority of the community sharing that sentiment, but at the very least the game is not dieing, just the relationship we have with the service providers.

Do you guys even know why there is a maintenance? Or u just pissed because of lost time play. Every week it has to be done, they could and then how u like playing a game where nothing anymore. Elder scrolls online will around for a while still, though wouldnt be suprised to see elder scrolls online 2. Probably do the same as destiny, basically just an expansion.

I accept that in higher zones the population is far more sparse.

However when trying to find groups for Trials, if I don't immediately respond to the "lf" post I am unlikely to get a spot.
