I see a positive, but also some craziness with how the current weekly bidding for a guild store location is. The positive is, if you don't win your bid, your gold gets refunded back into your guild bank. Awesome.. great. The craziness that I see is.. one, it is a blind bid. So, you cannot see the other bids. All the while, you're just waiting and hoping you have put in the higher bid or hoping no other guild has out-bid you. Two.. I don't see the fairness in this at all. I think this current system is broken and some improvements are needed. Good ZOS folks.. are you listening?! Lastly, if you do win the bid, how would you know if you have spend more gold than you need to. For example, you drop 500k gold and won the bid. How much more did you had won by? Did you overbid? You just don't know. What if the next lower bid was 100 or 200k gold, then you had wasted 300-400k gold more than you need to. I'm willing to drop more gold as needed to secure a good spot, but also not have to waste gold when I should not need to.
So, I think we should be able to see what the current bid is all the way to the closing time. This will tell me if I am willing to put in more gold for that location. We should also be able to bid on multiple locations, not just the current one bid at one location, per guild. Then, after bid closing, if a guild has multiple winning bids, that guild takes the one it wants, and then the others goes to the next highest winning bid. I don't know.. maybe this is something that makes more sense, but would be too complicated for ZOS to enact.
What do you all think on this? What are your views and opinions on this?
