Still getting questions from players on how to get Nirnhoned Items for research.
Used to be only the one Crag quest, but I've seen some posts of new Nirnhoned drops.
Are there any "easier" drop locations that would make it worth harvesting Nirn Items for research?

predareaper✭✭Nirnhoned can now be obtained from leaderboards and arena drops, this includes weekly trial boards, weekly Maelstrom, the final arena maelstrom chest, weekly Dragonstar and i belive the dragonstar chest too0 -

✭✭✭✭✭The only Nirn mentioned in the Patch notes is being able to find the Nirnroot in Cyrodiil.

Ok thanks. Looks like just the very elite locations and not any of the base locations, unless someone else has seen them.

Thanks, was mainly looking at Drops for people that wanted to direct research. Looks like Nirncrux farming and Trader buys is still the most economical ROI for items.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭I got a nirnhoned item from vMA the first week Dark Brotherhood was released.
PvE weekly leaderboards (weapons or armor) and vMA final chest (weapons only) are the only confirmed new sources. Not sure about vDSA final chest--I personally have not seen it drop for me or any group member in all of the runs that I've done since the update.

Your right. I have been hearing so much about Nirncrux being available in Cyrodill in the future that I read it wrong. Of course the first thing I thought of when I read that is, are there really any nodes to farm in Cyrodiil? The few times I have been there I don't remember seeing much to farm.

✭I think there is an extra stipulation for nirnhoned in Cyrodiil. Iirc, only GOLD end of campaign rewards can be nirnhoned, and it seems to be a fairly uncommon trait at that. Certainly not "farmable" here.The generally amicable yet sporadically salty magplar that may or may not have 1vXed you in Sotha Sil. Who knows?0
